This is something rifles are now starting to see as attachment on or added into sound suppressors

Just adding to this a bit; that rifle has a hot-swappable signature suppressor (full spectrum). Other options chop the sound suppressor in half and mate a suppressor with a flash suppressor add-on, such as this:

Notice how it's a screw-on option? So called hot-swappable? This allows a shooter to rapidly switch between several performance profiles.

The stock MRAD comes with a hefty muzzle break, not uncommon on .338 rifles.

It's a step up from the SSG 69 the Pakistan Army current uses, and compliments the SVD and domestic PSG 1 models nicely, albeit being bolt-action and with a larger caliber is best suited for a different role.

We don't see any major add-ons on the Model 98B shown at IDEAS 2016, but they'll be made available to any nation looking at the weapon system.
