Reports in Azerbaijan confirm the rumors that started in 2012 – Israel sold an operational land-based version of the Barak-8 system to Azerbaijan

Land Based Barak-8 - http://www.iai.co.il/2013/36511-45489-en/SystemMissileandSpace_Divisions...

The barak-8 system, which is known to the Israeli public primarily due to the cooperation between Israel and India, was apparently sold to Azerbaijan as well. However, while India possesses a maritime version of the system, Azerbaijan was sold an operational land-based version (12 launchers, 75 surface-to-air missiles). This means that the land system is also operational, apparently, in India. The source is a publication on Armenews.

According to the report, Israel sold to Azerbaijan considerable amount of different types of weapons, including IMI's EXTRA Guided rockets, Aerostar UAVs, Elbit Systems' ATMOS self-propelled artillery system, Spike missiles (including NLOS-SSM), Elta's EL / M-2080 and EL / M-2288 radar systems, IAI's and Elbit's UAVs, IAI's LAHAT anti-tank missiles and "Shaldag" ships.

The Harpy 'Kamikaze' UAV should be added to the list as well. It was put to operational use by Azerbaijan during the recent conflict with Armenia (according to media reports in Azerbaijan, six such drones were used). Apparently, this is all part of a deal signed in 2012.

A publication on apa.az claims that T-72 tanks and BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles used by the Azerbaijani Army were modernized by Israeli companies. Furthermore, Azerbaijan received an order to produce 30 “Aerostar” and 30 “Orbiter-2M” drones basing on Israel’s license.

How do you make sure that these systems won't end up in the hands of any enemy state of India especially to reverse engineer it ?

We have our issues with Azerbaijan, they have strong ties with Pak and support their stand on Kashmir apart from military ties.

On the other hand,Armenia support our stand on Kashmir apart from Armenian community lives here for generations.

India has strong ties with Iran, isn't it?

How do we make sure that plenty of Israeli systems in India won't end up in Iran?

Zero military ties with Iran.

We launch your "spy" satellite even though they had strong reservations about it.

If you Read the Article Correctly Israel already sold to Azerbaijan considerable amount of different types of weapons, including IMI's EXTRA Guided rockets, Aerostar UAVs, Elbit Systems' ATMOS self-propelled artillery system, Spike missiles (including NLOS-SSM), Elta's EL / M-2080 and EL / M-2288 radar systems, IAI's and Elbit's UAVs, IAI's LAHAT anti-tank missiles and "Shaldag" ships.

So, I m More than Trust on are Key Ally Israel More than its JV Profits Will Be shared that's Enough For Us

As For The Azerbaijani-Indian relations are old and mature. Many big personalities including Dr Radhakrishnan , former Prime Minister J L Nehru have visited Baku in the past.

India’s bilateral trade with Azerbaijan has been growing steadily in recent years. India’s pharmaceutical sector is established in Azerbaijan and many Indian pharmaceutical companies are there in Azerbaijan. Some of items of direct and indirect imports from India are clothes and textiles, information technologies, food items and heavy machinery

India and Azerbaijan have signed to explore future prospects in renewable energy sector, energy efficiency and various upcoming projects in oil and gas and pipelines, etc. India company GAIL has also signed an MoU with the Azerbaijan firm SOCAR have signed MoUs to explore business opportunities in petrochemical projects.

Press TV Iran !

Isn't the same site you Israelis call propaganda.
Well, if there is nothing more than just PressTV report about that, then yes.

I would certainly not trust PressTV (and similar Farсe news sources) about anything.

Armenian community lives here for generations.

regular exercise, they are a kind of neighbor in the Arabian Sea theatre and the IN hopes to be a true blue water force.

...especially in the Middle East. But in the last decade and a half, India has changed the trajectory of its foreign policy in that region and three states around which Indian foreign policy in the region revolves today are Iran, Israel and Saudi Arabia. Iran is only one of the pivots, not the sole or even the most important, and there’s hardly anything 'strategic' in India’s relationship with Iran
