Whats the need to regulate the numbers, just manage them better and let as many people as want to come.

Whats the need to regulate the numbers, just manage them better and let as many people as want to come.

Actually regulating the numbers is a good idea for crowd control. Do you know how many people have died previously from stampedes?

Thats a failure of management, not of the numbers.

Do you think a million people wont have stampedes with poor management while 10 million will?

Whats the need to regulate the numbers, just manage them better and let as many people as want to come.

Actually, when it comes to crow management, KSA has been head and shoulders above. Many nations attend the annual meetings of crowd management, of which the latest had taken place in Dubai. KSA has been hyper active both in theory and practice.

Thats a failure of management, not of the numbers.

Do you think a million people wont have stampedes with poor management while 10 million will?

Everything is kept on the right track for more than 35 years. There has been no terror attacks or major incidents since the two Iranian terror attacks in the mid 80s.

You did raise a very valid point by the way:

How much money does Saudi government make though hajis? i mean come on the tickets are bloody expesive

I critise Saudi foreign policies but they do manage the Hajj operation pretty good. Its a massive operation and please remember the crowd is mostly confined to particular place unlike for example the Hindu pilgrimage to Ganges which has massive land thus easier for people to move around.

I wish I was part of the quota :(

Pakistan Hajj quota: 143 368 pilgrims so 143 368 Pakistanis perform hajj every given year . Yet we are the most corrupt people on the planet.

Regarding your request Talon for some Dollars I can make this happen :omghaha:

No one knows how to conduct Haj better than the Saudis....period.

Well, it is equal for all countries.

The current second phase of the expansion of Al-Masjid Al-Haram is expected to be finished in October 2015 and when that happens the final and third phase will start which is scheduled to finish in 2020. Bringing the total capacity of Al-Masjid Al-Haram to 2 million worshippers.

Moreover there will be room to expanding it further in the future after 2020 if necessary which it will be.

But already by October 2015, if no delays happen, the quota of pilgrims will raise significantly.

We are talking about a giant project nevertheless.

I have a comment, this is a serious comment.

The Prophet (PBUH) has stated that only 1 Hajj will be accepted by ALLAH, if ALLAH accepts. We can all agree right?
No matter how many Hajjs the Muslim does.

The Prophet (PBUH) has stated that if a Muslim is only able to do Ummarah his/her Ummarah, if ALLAH accepts, will be considered Hajj. We can agree?

The Saudi government is trying to not be overwhelmed by the shear number of Muslims who want compete their 5th Pillar of Islam. I can see the reason and am in support of it.

But we have numerous complaints that from older Muslims who want to do the Hajj but are unable to because they cannot get permission.

While at the same time, we see these other Muslims who go on Hajj or Ummarahs EVERY YEAR, continuously getting Visas. And they brag about it continuously. 'Oh I go for Hajj every year.' 'What do you do'? 'I am the Headmaster of a Islamic School in _______'. -.-'

What if that that rich person who can afford to do Hajj every year, gives the money to a poor person who is unable to afford it, how much Good Deeds can that Muslim get? <--- Serious Question.

Is there any mechanism where the Saudi Government can see that this person is completing their 3rd or even 10th Hajj and deny that Visa?

Or will Patronage continue?
