H-6K medium and long range bomber
- A +
The Chinese Air Force will showcase H-6K medium and long range bomber to the public for the first time at an aviation open activity held from September one.

The event, under the theme of "Pursuing the Aero Dream", is to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Old Northeast Aviation School in Changchun, northeast China's Jilin province, Shen Jinke, spokesperson for the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force, said on August 26.

The H-6K is China's homegrown medium and long range bomber, and it is mainly used for long range precision strikes and tactical bombing missions, China Military online reported Monday.

In 2015, the H-6K bombers flew four times out of the first island chain and reached the Western Pacific for military exercises, and also joined China's V-Day Military Parade.

In 2016, the H-6K bombers conducted combat patrol in the South China Sea to defend national sovereignty, security and maritime rights and interests. Meanwhile, the H-6K bomber also participated in air patrol of the East China Sea Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ).

Other equipment, such as the KJ-500 Airborne Early Warning (AEW) plane which has participated in East China Sea ADIZ air patrol, the HQ-9 surface-to-air missile system and airborne infantry fighting vehicle that have joined China's V-Day Military Parade, will also be held for the public display during the event.

The KJ-500 is China's homegrown new medium-sized all-weather multi-sensor airborne early warning and command and control aircraft, and it is responsible for air patrol and command and control tasks.

The HQ-9 surface-to-air missile system is the third generation of ground air defense equipment and the medium-to-high-altitude long-range air defense equipment of PLA. It is mainly used to fight against all types of air attack targets.

The Aviation University of the PLA Air Force, which was established based on the Old Northeast Aviation School, will send two flight demonstration teams to join hands with the Bayi Aerobatic Team of PLA Air Force in flight demonstration during the activities.

At the same time, the J-10 model aircraft show, flight show of JL-9 and L-10 trainer aircraft and J-11 fighter jet will also be held. The retired Yak, MIG, CJ-5 and JL-5 aircraft will also participate in the static display.

Against F22 ; F 35 and F 15 ; How long and how far will these Bombers be able to fly

so when does Pakistan get to buy this chinese baby from Fe brother?

Never ... China won't sell a strategic system like the H-6K. Period.
Em Pretty Sure Chinese Will Sell Almost anything If you See the Current Developments Of Chinese and Pakistan States
Chinese Has already Sold many things which Seems Impossible for many other states
so when does Pakistan get to buy this chinese baby from Fe brother?
Now as For Pakistan Buying I dont see PAF going for these Birds because Pakistan is facing adversary which is right at the door Step and these birds are only useful when the area is clear of Sams , and Enemy air crafts unless its one sided mission

Honestly, but to think China will sell a strategic weapon even to its closest alley is IMO so much of a wet-dream that it is not even funny anymore.

I really do not want to downplay the Sino-Chinese relationship, but it is surely not that way that Pakistan can get everything from China especially like Su-35 via Russia, any J-11 Flanker version, strategic bombers, ... simply forget that.

It's not the problem to sell or not. Pakistan does not need H6K. H6K flies slowly and has no stealth capability so it is hard to survive faced with Indian airforce, and its advantage is a relatively long battle range. We adopt H6K only as a cruise missile carrier for long-range accurate attack against Japan and Guam under the protection of our flankers and blackdragons. India is close to Pakistan so Pakistan's vehicle launched cruise missiles and ballistic missiles are enough for such tasks.

Pakistan don't need it as its an overkill...
If Pakistan will demand it, it'll be a redesign with shorter range and some modification for environment of here (i.e faster speed, shorter version).
Its use here itself will be challenging and limited considering the systems it'll have to face but having it is a stretigic advantage and will give PAF an upper hand. Tough leadership will not be inclined towards spending a chunk on bomber (fighter jet mafia) and also it has some reality that while 3rd gen jets are serving, then you replace them, not do new ventures!
Shortly sales are possible after long negotiations and re designing but leadership lacks any such vision and actually don't have any space to do any such high valued mostake...
