Export bids for JF-17 Thunder Multirole Lightweight Fighter Aircraft

Not to mention reduced maintenance costs, higher reliability and easier integration into Pakistan's NCW components.
I really hope this is true, but where are the funds going to come from? Plus for some Submarines and surface vessels?

dont forget readily integrated with zdk-03, which often operates from masroor.

@Oscar @Horus , can you guys plz provide me a research article (not normal article) on marketing of JF-17's / hurdles in its exports ? because i'm unable to find one..

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is close to finalising an order for the purchase of one or two squadrons of the JF-17 Thunder fighter aircraft co-produced by Pakistan and China, a senior Pakistani Ministry of Defence official told IHS Jane's on 2 December.

Speaking at the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2014 in Karachi, the official said the NAF finalised its recommendation for the purchase of 25-40 JF-17s after NAF chief air marshal Adesola Nunayon Amosu visited Pakistan in October. AM Amosu's engagements in Pakistan included a visit to the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) at Kamra, north of Islamabad, where the JF-17 is manufactured.

Hi,

The sales will come---it is just a matter of time. Kids are getting excited for no reason----. There is nothing out there in the market with what this aircraft offers in capabilities and weapon package. Air to air---air to ground---air to sea---short range long range---.

When you want to sell weapons as a manufacturer---you need to be sure that you are meeting and exceeding the needs of the buyer---the emphasis is on exceeding the needs---today---tomorrow---the next day---10 years from now. For Pakistan---a first time seller of a frontline attack aircraft---it is very important to have an infra structure set up.

Can you imagine---Nigeria---with 2 sqdrns of Blk 2's being about almost the most advanced air force in Africa--.

I am not sure why, but Pakistan's front line technology must not be sold just for the sake of making money. Do you really want to give your enemies a chance to peek inside JF-17 or shoot it in war?

Hi,

Well---it is going to happen. No ifs and buts about it.

It makes sense if Nigeria opts for JF-17. IIRC USA had declined to provide them with combat aircraft (F-16s). There are not too many options available to Nigeria for delivering munitions like JF-17 can. Its being a multi-role with strong suit of Naval capabilities is a major selling point.

Though it seems to have been kept hush hush, PAF has used JF-17 to target TTP if one believes recent revelations.

Nigeria requires something that can strike terror in Boko Haram psyche. JF-17 can do that with its available options and weapons' suit. All of that at fraction of cost compared to Western systems in all spheres: set up and training, cost of procurement, and operations.

From receiving JF-17s to the time their Pilots and crew are self sufficient in the system, will take at least 5-8 years.

Boko Haram is a current problem. Unless PAF dispatches it's own JF squadron to show off. :P

....and one that was at Faisal for a photo shoot with Google Satellite Images.

A few things that will break down the internet:
1-Queen Elizabeth stepping down
2-Leonardo dicaprio winning an Oscar
3-Malaysian Airlines losing another B777 before the end of this year
4- JF-17 securing export orders

Also, if JF-17 secures foreign order, expect the Indian Health Care system to break down as well.
