JAISALMER: Indigenously developed Dhruva helicopter has been undergoing combat trials at the Pokhran field firing range since the last one week.

The trials of the helicopter, developed and manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), has been on since the last seven days at the firing range in Jaisalmer and the reports were positive, an official confirmed.

Work on TD-3 is going on and its most likely to fly by the year end and early next year. Few changes like in the landing gears and all are recommended by IAF and all these changes will be made in TD-3. TD-3 is going to be close to final LCH and i think next year field tests will start,, may be even combat or weapon trials.
