Pakistani Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar meets with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao in Beijing on Wednesday.

Islamabad: Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has reiterated his country's unconditional support to Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He made the comments during a meeting with visiting Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar in Beijing Wednesday.

She is on her first visit to China since assuming her office last month.

Wen said Khar's decision to make her first official visit to China reflected her commitment to further strengthening the friendship between the two countries, reported Associated Press of Pakistan.

All-weather friendship

He said the time-tested and all-weather friendship between the two countries was founded on the common principles of peaceful co-existence and mutual respect.

Wen reiterated China's unconditional support to Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also renewed China's commitment to help Pakistan's post-flood reconstruction efforts.

Wen reaffirmed China's support for Pakistan's efforts in preserving national stability and promoting social and economic development, reported Xinhua.

He called on the two sides to promote the sustainable development of the Pakistani economy and to expand cooperation in trade, investment and technology.

Khar said the Pakistan-China relationship was without parallel in the world of inter-state relations. The two countries enjoyed complete convergence of interest on all bilateral issues as well as international issues of mutual importance, she added.

She thanked China for its assistance in helping Pakistan achieving its economic and development goals.

Khar also met her Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi.

The two leaders had detailed discussions which covered the entire gamut of the bilateral relationship as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Khar said that her visit demonstrated the importance she attached to pushing forward the strategic partnership between Pakistan and China.

Reason: Because that was a stupid and irrelevant comment.

Hey zarvan, look at that picture up there....

A pure Muslim woman shaking hands with an unrelated man and a Non-Muslim! I saw you throwing a fit when the lady shook Indian prime minister's hand. Blasphemy!

In the whole thread you could found nothing else but this to comment on only. A rather vague attempt to flame and derail the thread.

ontopic: what kind of sovereignty does Pakistan enjoy? Up until the late 90's and 2005, its been playing the part of a US proxy. Now its a Chinese proxy. Nations with power all across the world has been using/abusing Pakistan time and time again. What "goals" has Pakistan accomplished with Chinese help?

No, not sovereignty, rather an affirmation of subversience.

What is it with you Indians here, and your obsession with other people's religion?

I have friends who are Muslims, and they have never had any issues shaking hands with an atheist.

I wonder how many Muslims the Indian members here have actually met, when they expect Pakistanis to have a problem with "pork-eating Chinese atheists" (their favourite expression).

Hey troll, do you hear of any Chinese drones flying over Pakistan's territory? Or what about a Chinese military helicopter flying near Pakistan's capital in the middle of the night?

Dont compare American-Pakistani relations to Chinese-Pakistani relations. China has ALWAYS respected Pakistan's sovereignity and China is really the only true friend Pakistan currently has especially in the region.

And we have the same interests as China in everything. With no other country, Pakistan shares the same interests as Pakistan does with China.

^^^well i donot want to derail this thread as well as nor its any troll i just want to know about the view of Omar1984 where in one of the thread he commented on below photo

She is supposed to represent the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and its frowned upon in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan if a Muslim woman shakes a man's hand. Its not our culture.

HERE is a link for the commentKashmiri leaders invited to meet Khar in Delhi
