Bora JNG-90 sniper rifle (Turkey)

Caliber(s): 7.62x51 NATO (.308Win)
Operation: manually operated rotary bolt action
Barrel: 660 mm
Weight: 6.4 kg empty
Length: 1165 mm
Feed Mechanism: 10 rounds detachable box magazine

Bora JNG-90 sniper rifle was developed by Turkish state-owned arms making company MKEK. Its development was started in 2004, and nowapparently it is fielded by Turkish army and is offered for export. Manufacturer claims that this rifle outperforms most Western rivals in terms of accuracy, shooting 0.3 MOA groups at 100 meters range, but we still have no firm proof on that.

Bora JNG-90 sniper rifle is a manually operated weapon with rotary bolt action and detachable box magazine. It is mounted onto aluminum chassis, with polymer pistol grip and fully adjustable butt. Barrel is free-floated and equipped with massive muzzle brake. Top of receiver is provided with integral Picatinny rail for quick installation and replacement of various telescope sights and night vision equipment. Additional accessory rails are provided on the forend.

Sir this is exactly why I posted here Sir we are testing it with others snipers so we can choose which one to select for our Army you would know it better than me

.3 MOA at 100 meters is very impressive.

When will the JNG-90 be available for the consumer market?

Dragnov is not a sniper.

?????????????????
The Dragunov sniper rifle (formal Russian:Снайперская Винтовка системы Драгунова образца 1963 годаSnayperskaya Vintovka sistem'y Dragunova obraz'tsa 1963 goda (SVD-63), officially "Sniper Rifle, System of Dragunov, Model of the Year 1963") is a semi-automaticsniper/designated marksman rifle chambered in7.62×54mmR and developed in the Soviet Union.

Sir I think it is we are testing with other sniper Guns to choose which Sniper Gun to buy for our Army @RAMPAGE as long as it kills specially Indians is accurate and don't get stuck in any condition and above all if we get them with TOT we should go for it

The Dragunov was intended to be a designated Marksman Rifle that was to be handed out to soldiers that showed good shooting skills. These people are called designated marksmen not snipers. Now if a person employs the tactics of a sniper while using a Dragunov it can be called a sniper rifle at that particular time because it is a rifle being used by a sniper but other than that it is considered a DMR. Another important thing to remember is that the Dragunov is semi auto and its is not as accurate as a rifle like the JNG 90 which was designed to be used by snipers and sharpshooters. Two different weapons created for different tasks.

This was an interview done at IDEF 2013 at the MKEK booth.

  • 100% made in Turkey no foreign help. All Optics made in Turkey as well.
  • When the rifle competed in the Pakistani Competition it had tighter groups than all of the competitors.
  • There are two version of the rifle: One has a barrell that fires standard 7.62X51 and the other has a barrel that accepts a silencer and is designed to fire sub sonic ammunition.
