A delegation consisting of 20 senior officers from the three services of the Bangladesh armed forces, including 10 foreign officers from the National Defence College at Mirpur in Dhaka will be visiting India from tomorrow. The delegation which is visiting the country for a study tour will be led by Brigadier General Latiful Haider, Senior Instructor of the Bangladesh National Defence College. The five day visit involves a visit to an Air Force Base in Agra and a field formation in Jaipur in addition to interaction with senior officers of the Indian army .
The visit of the delegation from Bangladesh's National Defence College is part of the bilateral defence co-operation initiatives between India and Bangladesh. During their stay in Delhi, the delegation will have the opportunity to be briefed on various operational issues by senior staff officers of the three services of the Indian army and also interact with the Foreign Secretary of India. The delegation will also be briefed by officials of the Defence Research and Development Organisation about the various developmental ventures which have been undertaken by it. They are also scheduled to interact with businesspersons from the Confederation of Indian Industry to get an insight into the contribution of the Indian industry to the armed forces.
