Babur 3 only a Stop-Gap, Pakistan needs real SLBM

Look up Burya(USSR) and RSS-40 Buran(USSR)

Burya range: 8000-8500km
"the daring concept for an intercontinental missile was the second stage, which was powered by a ramjet engine at its operational speed of Mach 3."
"The first stage was a ballistic-rocket-derived booster, which accelerated the Burya to altitude and the speed necessary to ignite its ramjet engine: a ramjet does not operate below subsonic speeds"
"Successful tests were achieved after official cancellation of the project, when it continued as a technology demonstration. It was a casualty, like the USAF Navaho, of the greater simplicity and relative invulnerability to interception of intercontinental ballistic missiles."

RSS-40 Buran: 8500km
two prototypes were developed but never flight tested and it was cancelled in 1957 in favor of R-7 Semyorka since they considered ICBMs unstoppable.

The above two intercontinental cruise missiles were developed in the 50s. The only reason no country pursued them further was bcuz they favored ICBMs. The interest is back in this area though. US/Russia/China are now developing hypersonic cruise missiles based on hypersonic glide vehicles using scramjet engines.

The limits to subsonic cruise missile ranges has to do with physics. Burya relied on ramjet to achieve such a range and just like that X51 and others would be relying on scramjet to achieve even greater ranges and for that u need speed beyond subsonic speeds.

No amount of ur personal wishes are going to change facts.
Post something operational cruise missiles :rofl:Burya and Buran was old and canceled project of 50's:enjoy::enjoy:
as for X-51 is in development not operational and look its range from your link
Range: 460 miles (740 km)
its a short range missiles:sarcastic:
i am show you lots of operational subsonic CM with a range of 2500 Km+ take a look yourself

The nose cap that you keep referring to is to hermetically seal the missile in the canister launchers. After canister ejection the cap is released with retro-boosters to get aerodynamic optimization. K4 too uses the same sealing mechanism. There is a vector motor on the side of the body, which gives the missile the rotational movement around its axis when the missile descends from its horizontal flight path. This rotation is necessary since the lower part of the missile nose cone is exposed to maximum air drag, and rotation dissipates some of the heat from the heat shield

Thanks for the entertainment though!
This missile is a Ramjet engine. it never leaves atmosphere. it is a high altitude jet engine missile not a SLBM got over it.

So now u r gonna hide behind that it's not operational. Lol they tested it and showed it as tech demonstrators. Just bcuz they chose a cheaper/simpler alternative in ballistic missiles doesn't make these cruise missiles fictional. Does the world cease to exist when u close ur eyes?

Also here is some simple math for u...
8500km & 8000km > 2500km

An honorable man accepts when he is wrong but then again we r talking about an honorable man here not u.

Don't f*cking quote me again. Ur IQ is stuck in double digits. U r going on my ignore list.

reading after all, is such a chore, right?
I am not going through each and every post of this lengthy thread just curious to ask you which missile you are talking about and thats it.

you have an IQ like insane kid:p::p: they were dead project:enjoy::enjoy:

Those dead projects still had more range then ur "alive" projects. Also these were developed in the 50s and still u r having a hard time showing me something with such a range.
Are u not able to comprehend that 8000km-8500km is much much greater than anything u've shown me?

I've never seen a sore loser such as u. Quit it while u can u r only making a fool of urself in front of others.

Make sure we don't get sanctioned and we will show you something that will fly around the earth 3 times

I can't control the sanctions:(

...but why fly 3 times around the Earth? India ko trick shot maarni hai kya :p:

so why they disposed those projecto_O?
Did u not read again? I quoted from Wikipedia, these projects were shelved in favor of cheaper/simpler ballistic missiles that could do the same job and were completely unstoppable at the time(the 50s and 60s) due to lack of a dependable BMD system. But that doesn't change the fact that these supersonic cruise missiles worked.

Now that BMDs are evolving countries like US/Russia/China are thinking in that direction again though with a more evolved design and greater speeds(hypersonic).

You think I am joking. There is a thing called nuclear powered cruise missile. it uses nuclear propulsion. Check it out
