Chaman: The Babe Dosti remained closed for the 12th consecutive day at Chaman border.

The Chaman Chamber of Commerce spokesman said that due to closure of Babe Dosti, traders have started supplying fresh fruits via Torkham Border. He said that the traders using Torkham border have to incur three times more the normal expense.

Owing to closure of Bab-e-Dosti, NATO supply, transit trade, bilateral trade and all other movement has been suspended.

A deadlock persists in Pak-Afghan border forces on reopening Dosti gate. Authorities said that senior Pak-Afghan authorities will decide about reopening Babe-Dosti.

A normalization strategy is the need of the hour. Business is always good so is proper checking before someone comes to your country. Lets hope Both countries take concrete steps to minimize the ongoing hostilities.

Keep it closed for a very long time to come. Afghans should also not be allowed to cross into Pakistan. We need to teach these drug mafias a big lesson. They burn our flag, throw stones at our gates, kill our soldiers/generals, shell our land, kill our children in terror attacks and multiply in our land. Kick all remaining Afghans out of Pakistan. No mercy. There is nothing to reason with such insane savages.

Wow you must be one little sorry individual, the hate will burn you mate.

Don't be hating ;) probably it's coming from somewhere, seriously are you being treated badly in Netherlands? You're projecting your hate here.

Close all crossing permanently by giving terrorism as the root cause of the closure. After all we have to protect our citizens from RAW/NDS terrorism. Tell them to take a hike and go via so called Char bahar route. And as we speak, Taliban are making inroads in southern areas where this "alternate route" suppose to go from. As Ajeet Doval said, that we will fight Pakistan to the last Afghans, in reply we should say "bring it on".

no problem at all afghanistan is Self-sufficient in NASWAR :D:P the only thing that matters to them

Un-thankful Afghan deserve that type of treatment.

We can't afford attack on gates by Afghan civilians. Imagine if someone from Pak side losses his mind and start firing at Afghan civilians attacking gate, we don't want that.

actually very good point -- it would be nightmare if there was a flare up and people died

Namak Haram Afghans deserve more ... Best thing about it this all is that ... even though they always had hatred for us... we used to had soft corner for them.. we used to consider them brothers...This illusion has gone away from us... we now know they deserve a hell to live in

Here is my two cents on the matter; for decades Pakistan and Afghanistan shared an open border. The effects of which is that people who trade across this border and those who cross the border regularly forget that, they are entering another sovereign nation. They take it for granted.

Closing the gate, notwithstanding the reason, is a very good way of desensitizing such people and, enforcing recognition of sovereignty. Trade doesn't even come close. Afghans should recognize Pakistan's sovereignty, respect it's borders and realize that entering Pakistan is a privilege for them, not a right.

Close the border. When they starve they'll realise how much they need us.
