The AS50 .50 BMG sniper/anti-materiel rifle is the latest creation of British firearms producer Accuracy International. The AS50 enables operators to engage targets at very long range with high accuracy using explosive or incendiary ammunition. The AS50 employs a gas operated semi-automatic action for rapid fire engagement of multiple targets. The rifle is also highly transportable, ergonomic and lightweight. It can be disassembled in less than three minutes and serviced without tools.

The rifle has an accuracy of 1.5 MOA. The barrel is free floated and features a dual chamber muzzle brake to reduce recoil, which is lower than that of the AW50 bolt action .50 BMG rifle. The two-part machined steel receiver features an integral accessory rail for the mounting of optical sights. Two additional rails are mounted on the sides of the short barrel shroud. An adjustable bipod and rear support leg/hand grip allow for stable shooting. This weapon is proven to accurately hit a target over a mile away. The low recoil system built in the back of the rifle can allow it to fire rapidly while still retaining its accuracy.

The AS50 weighs 14.1 kg empty and holds 5 rounds of .50 BMG in a single stack removable box magazine.

Pakistan is already using American semi automatic 50 cal m82a1 as sniper/anti-materiel rifle but British AS50 is also have the same features but have better reliability than m82a1 or m107.
Pakistan army should get as50.

Pakistan main 0.50 main Heavy Sniper Rifle is the RPA International's Rangemaster 0.50 which was inducted in 2007 by the Pakistan Army. Pakistan's main 7.62mm Sniper Rifle is the Styer Sniper Rifle. Pakistan Army is also using the Accuracy International AW7.62 for special roles along with the Barret 0.50 Heavy Sniper in the same capacity. Air Force SSG is using the AW7.62 and the AW50 caliber rifles and the Navy Marines are again using the 0.50 Rangemaster.

I suggest we get the British AS50, but its it is time to come up with a totally new technology that "no one" else has. That is the only way to have an upper hand on.
Pak Army has to "buy" this baby, but the insurgents somehow get it in more quantity and apparently are trained to use these types of weapons, that tell A LOT.....koi samjahna chahay to samajh jai
