155mm/52cal ATAGS Howitzer Successfully Tested

US won't allow India to manufacture even single piece.
why you say that?? this isn't like building a F-35

That would suck the total budget of IA...
price right now for Excalibur is like $68,000, but with mass production that price should drop to like $50,000 to $25,000

20,000 at $25,000 =$500 million or at $50,000= $1 billion
80,000 made in India would be even cheaper more like $15,000= $1.2 billion

so 100,000 for $2 billion overall isn't too expensive compared to alternatives. the cost of firing dumb artillery, rockets, cruise missiles, or using a jet to attack would be more costly overall.

155/52+Excalibur is a game changer on the border with Pakistan.

I thought, it costs more than 200K.. If this costs 15-25K, I am sure IA will have a look at it..

I will rate Excalibur as a technological marvel than F35. F35 made use of several existing techs from platforms like f22 and all. F35 is mere the results of steady growth in military aviation industry. But look at Excalibur, you have to embed the electronic components in a shell. Which will experience nearly 80g and tremendous amount of heat while firing, and that electrical components has to withstand all these stresses. It's a technological marvel and no country will share it with others.
By the way when did US offered f35 make in India offer?

it's a technological marvel indeed, but if India placed a big of enough order I don't see why the U.S wouldn't share how to build it. India after all is becoming a major ally.

I never said U.S made a offer to India for the F-35 I said it's not like building a F-35, not as complex or giving away stealth secrets.

I will ready to place order fo1000 b2s.will US offer me tot on b2s? Answer is no .... There are things which can't be shared to a second country.
We even have a gigantic requirements for javelin missile,at the end Uncle Sam denied tot. I am pretty sure that US will us Excalibur to us,but making Excalibur in India is almost impossible.

Do we have artillery locating radars of required quality and quantity or still procuring ?
Remember Pakistan had US supplied ones a long time back.
