Re posting from another thread Thank you. Students of the UK/EU are not incompetent at all. In-fact, they are much more qualified than an average Indian undergrad/grad student. While an Indian workforce does have better work ethics, they settle for much less than their EU counterparts...

For two weeks of holidaying in India--it costs £93 per person. Not to mention, subjecting applicants to an excruciatingly time consuming process ( read torture ). Is the Indian government planning on offering concessions to UK/EU citizens at all ? NO option for a visa longer than six months.

Trying to get a tourist visa to India isn't exactly a very comfortable process either !. If there is no reciprocity, what exactly is the point of handing out concessions and aid ?
