Haneef wants Australia to apologise, wants to return

Of course I expect you to play the religion card. But even if he was a non-moslem, there's enough out there to make him a suspect. He was in regular contact with the terrorists, there's enough communication transcripts to suggest that he knew of the bombings, he provided material aid to the...

Haneef wants Australia to apologise, wants to return

I used the word in a different context. I'm sorry I don't believe that. I'll give the Australian authorities the benefit of doubt. They did detain a terror suspect just to keep the safety of their citizens intact. I wish we had such Govt's in India where national interest stood supreme instead...

Haneef wants Australia to apologise, wants to return

Sir, shouldn't suspects be taken under preventive custody just to be on the safer side? Because we all know that chances are good that more suspects would blow themselves up than rather be innocent. Yeah, that's a dangerous assumption I've made. But not as dangerous as the alternative - letting...

Haneef wants Australia to apologise, wants to return

Everyone seems to be turning left. I feel out of place as I stick to Right. This Left of Centre media campaign for Haneef's "human rights", I ain't buying it. What would they want the police to do? Release a suspect so that he goes and blows up a bunch of people. But Sri, he was innocent yada...

Haneef wants Australia to apologise, wants to return

I don't deny any of this. But given all this is true, would it mean the Aussie police did their job wrong, I don't think so. I'd like my city police do the same. Better than having some well qualified, educated nut jobs blow up! Well, the conservative Govt. in Australia has slowly been tilting...

Haneef wants Australia to apologise, wants to return

Grow up. Everything isn't an India Pak - Hindu Muslim rant fest. I would've said the same even if the guy was a Scientologist about to blow himself up.

Haneef wants Australia to apologise, wants to return

Sure, let's wait for the Judge to give a judgment. Did you wait for that? I think many, thanks to the lefty media blitz, have started assuming that he is already innocent. He may very well be, but we won't know till the investigations are over. Till then, its better that the police take the...

Haneef wants Australia to apologise, wants to return

I wouldn't apoligize. The police did their job, and took a tough stance to keep their people safe. Better safe than sorry. And for the record, investigations are on and it isn't proven that Haneef if innocent. All the evidence points to the opposite, actually.
