I think india is a fascinating place, at least ancient india, because of its ties with buddhism and evrything (most taiwanese are either buddhist or heavily influenced), but it recognizes China instead of Taiwan, so sadly, perceptions of india are very mixed.

pakistani-americans I have met are usually very friendly, albeit more reserved, those in my former classes seem to get along well with indians despite national tensions. (well, that also goes for mainlanders and taiwanese, I guess) I met one pakistani in my calc class, and he was really nice...

well, i think iranian people can be nice, i have not yet met one, but I have heard they are, but I am not so sure about their government, too extreme, I think why would iran send spies to bosnia, what purpose? have iran usually sided with the muslims in yugoslavia disputes?

okay, but situation is very unique, because both india and pakistani have NUCLEAR WEAPONS, unlike vast majority of world's nations, it is dangerous, even more so than korea's situation. if there is no peace, then if wrong person is killed, or if tensions flare at bad time, then all will be doomed.

i think before, the ties with india and china were all right, but then the war destroyed relations. sigh...let the two fight it out themselves...whoever is friendlier will earn taiwan's support.
