    You are more religiously educated than i am, so was hoping you can help me, is there a book of Sharia Laws (hopefully in English)?

    But I believe you should and think and think and think and then bring all your questions to a good scholar. This is where we are struggling and creating distance with Quran and Islam (we = this genrtaion) we have stopped studying it on our own and depend on mullahs so much. In result whatever they sell we buy.

    The problem my dear sister is that we do not look for good Islamic scholars, our local Masjid's Imam usually qualifies as the absolute authority on the matter.
    We do not check his credentials, is he an Alim? or a Mufti? Is he certified from the board? Has he worked anywhere before? If so why did he leave?
    We are not serious about religious education as much as we are serious about school education, unfortunately.

    This is why I believe we should study it on our own. You don't necessirly have to be scholar or a mufti to study your deen. While studying Quran, you come up with question, that's even better. Quran itself says, think, think and think. Brother.
    And yes very unfortunate we are creating distance with the book of Allah and deen of Allah

    For your information Azlan Haider is from that small minority group who deny Hadith and Sunnah and claim Quran is enough for us
