Hy mate, firstly thanks for the pics. I believe that there pics were taken in the US so j assume these were test flights. There are certain parameters the plane has to meet in all configurations (probe attached/unattached, same with FLIR). That is why we see the plane being flown in fully configured mode (a2a prove and FLIR) and with just the a2a probe (other pics) and just the FLIR probe (second pic) to see how the individual accessories work and affect the plane and how they work together in the configuration that would be used in live ops.

In the second pic (where there is only the FLIR attached) you can see markings for the a2a probe to be attached, it has simply been removed as was done when the Herc flew from US to HINDON AFS in India (to red use drag in that case), I believe it is a relatively simple job.

Anyways thanks for the pics, first time I have seen the IAF C-130-30j in its fully outfitted form (that wasn't a model!). Hope I've helped.
Dont let your 1st bike be a bullet. See, its not too reliable and costs a lot to run. I would suggest getting a very fuel efficient and cheap bike for the 1st couple of years. Then go in for a bullet. Thats my 50 cents.

Thanks for your kind words about my bike.
Bharadwaj, I actually have no Idea about Helicopter division, I worked for SU30MKI assembly and Mig 27 landing Gear upgrades.
Hahaha, big brother (aka Bharadwaj) is watching:-)

Yup, you nailed it. Those 2 bullets were mine till I left for the states in 2006. I came back to Pune 3 months ago and I got myself a 2003 Lightning 535. Ride it as often as I can.

I see you are in B'lore. I was there just 2 days ago, near Carlton Towers(the bldg. that caught fire a couple of years ago).

    More later!
