India continues ceasefire violation along LoC

RAWALPINDI: Indian border forces continued to violate the ceasefire agreement along the Line of Control on Thursday, with over five violations during the last 24 hours, the ISPR said.

According to an ISPR statement, Indian forces have violated the ceasefire at four different locations including Jandrot, Nikyal, Baroh and Khanjar areas in the last 24 hours.

Pakistan army troops effectively responded to the Indian aggression, the ISPR said.

Pakistan has repeatedly warned India against violations of the ceasefire agreement along UN-monitored de facto LoC border in Kashmir.

On Wednesday, Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa met Prime Minister Azad and Jammu Kashmir (AJ&K) Raja Farooq Haider Khan and discussed matters relating to the security situation regarding the Line of Control.

The Army Chief assured the AJK PM that Pakistan Army is vigilant and capable of responding to all kinds of threats from across the border.

Earlier this week, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif warned India of severe consequences in case New Delhi tries to conduct a real surgical strike inside Pakistani territory.

Winding up debate on a motion regarding the situation arising out of continuing Indian violations of Line of Control (LoC) and ceasefire on Working Boundary (WB), the minister said If India dares to carry out surgical strike inside Pakistan, it will forget how to conduct even fake and false strikes.

“The first surgical strike by India was also fake,” said the defence minister, adding that the entire farce of the surgical strikes was created to dupe the Indian nation.

Khawaja Asif in his speech said that there could be some possible explanation behind India’s fake claim of across-the-border strikes.

According to the Defence Minister, India wanted to link the ongoing freedom struggle in Occupied Kashmir to terrorism and infiltration. "India wants to connect the ongoing uprising in IoK to Pakistan and made such references on several international forums, although it remained unsuccessful."

Pakistan will continue to provide diplomatic and moral support to the people of the Occupied territory, he said.

Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) on Thursday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

According to the military’s media wing, the Indian troops continuously violated the ceasefire as they fired across Jandrot, Nikyal, Baroh and Khanjar areas.

“During the last 24 hours, Indian aggression continued unabated as the violation was reported five times,” the ISPR said.

According to Pakistan Army, Indian forces committed at least 178 ceasefire violations along the LoC and Working Boundary in 2016, killing 19 civilians and injuring 80 others.

The violation came a day after Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa discussed the situation across the LoC.

so if nawaz is disqualified, what will they do? perhaps another surgical strike, this time a real one?, or if the complete family is put in jail? an operation to rescue the royal family? or how about full scale war...............

It can be said as the help of friend as usual. However, it is worth noting that happened after PM AK and COAS meeting with respect to security situation etc. Also, ruling elite is in pressure and by viewing the track record in past from the time of Dharna to Cases in Court, from pressure of opposition to investigation in leaks against Military, seems like both are really promised to help-out each other on such times. It is also to be kept in mind that NaMO is facing a huge pressure from opposition as well as the voters with respect to all those claims against Pakistan and teaching the so-called lesson. Elections are also close in India and once again, these type of situation supports the campaign very well.

Furthermore, GoI has been actively involved in malign and blame game since NaMO in office and such tactics are being used to mislead and propagate against Pakistan which is widely indicating Indian desperation against CPEC as well by violating LoC continuously. India has been trying to highlight CPEC as controversial so on other hand, attempting to create a mess at LoC to give a feel of insecure business/CPEC but as before, will be dealt accordingly. These threats and acts are not new from Indian side and rather than proving the so-called observations regarding CPEC on table, resorting to violation as a save face while having nothing to prove. The most contention with respect to CPEC could be viewed as lastly, IA recovered alleged Chinese flags in IoK and on the same time without any hesitation blamed China for support which was the part of all that propaganda against Pakistan, China, CPEC as well as downplaying the freedom struggle of Kashmiris against India.

Such unprovoked firing and attempts are based upon the plan that India will seek a limited time conflict by any mean that cannot digest the ongoing projects and growing Pakistan while such provocations are endangering the whole region that other countries getting aware as well.

Escalation can sometimes be more then just a ploy to save the monarchy and its troublesome long term effects
Rather it can be something that is being done to apply pressure by making it seem like the border is a place of constant war to bring in Trump with one of his off the cuff remarks to satisfy the Indian lobby in America. I think with the swearing in so close and Trump wanting to seem proactive he can be exploited and the Indian lobby will try it's best to do so.

yes but war is not going to effect us much because our investment is not really coming from multiple sources.. Yes, our stock exchange would take a good hit and that would be really bad for some time but the FDI and long term effects after the demonetisation crisis would take out the wind from under the Indian economy.

That can be connected with the circumstances paining GoI. Seems like proven to be a hardened one so also, to portray a picture of conflict and controversy against Pakistan.

Our FDI is terrible and what we do get is mostly rehashed money from our corrupt coming back into Pakistan thru proxy companies listed abroad.. Otherwise mostly it is Chinese investment.

Issue is linked with LOC firing with India.
India is worried due to failure in its nefarious plans that is why releasing it anger in that way an by killing innocent people near by LOC.
