This has now become the new normal in GoI circles. The current crop of politicians be it from BJP or even Congress have burned their fingers enough and now agree on one thing - the best way to deal with Pakistan is to ignore it.

Bullets will only stop firing if peace is established. You cant say that bullets must first be stopped and then there can be peace. India must address the cause, and needs to negotiate on Kashmir, otherwise "terror activities" will keep happening forever.

Anyway, I doubt Modi is serious about establishing peace so these statement s are just lip-service. He said a while back that Pakistan should fight with poverty and literacy instead of bullets, then he goes and invents the surgical strikes drama. Nothing this man says or does can be trusted, and unless he openly states that he is willing to negotiate Kashmir, he should be completely ignored.

Very true. There can be no talks and no peace till Pakistan stops terrorism.

Mumbai attacks and ensuing massacre is a prime example that Pakistan looks for war where India looks for peace.

Pakistan whines when we don't talk with Pakistan and when we do they try their usual jihadi activities.
