ISLAMABAD: Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has told Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa that those who recently launched attacks in Afghanistan “lived, were recruited and operated freely in Pakistan and no action was taken against them,” a Presidential Palace statement said on Monday.

Ghani’s allegations came during a phone call with the Pakistani army chief. General Qamar Bajwa telephoned the Afghan president on Sunday evening to condemn recent attacks in the country. The military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations, said General Bajwa also offered intelligence cooperation and border management to stop illegal cross-border movement.

The offer came following attacks in Kabul, Kandahar and Helmand which killed nearly 60 people, including five UAE diplomats. Taliban claimed attacks in Kabul and Helmand and denied involvement in the Kandahar attack, which they blamed on the internal power struggle between officials in Kandahar.

No safe havens in Pakistan for terrorists: COAS

“In his telephonic talk, President Ghani vowed to take revenge from the perpetrators of the terrorist attacks and said his country is ready to ensure security of his country,” a statement from Ghani’s office said.

“He again described terrorism and extremism as a serious threat for the region and the world and said that lack of determination to fight against the common threat could pose dangers to Pakistan itself and the region,” the statement posted on the Afghan president’s website added.

President Ghani said he wants “serious talks” to discuss Kabul’s future relationship with Pakistan.

It is a security failure. Yes.

However does that automatically exonerate the perps? Many high profile attacks in Pakistan had inside help as was later established. While that was a security failure, that did not exonerate the TTP automatically.

Instead of blaming Pakistan, afghanistan can close the border with the help of NATO/US and the matter will be solved.

Unbelievable. He admits his own failure. They don't close the border, but keep blaming Pakistan. When Pakistan does something to manage the porous border they get hostile. These Afghans are part of the problem. All Afghans out of Pakistan. Close the border. No ifs and buts.

Yes we had it due to security collapse but did we blame it to BC Afghan Govt or Indian Govt officially? You and Afghani hear this clearly There is no peace till Mulla Radio and his crew funding by RAW exsist and attack Pak Land.

This retard knows where Mulla Fazalullah lives? Afghanistan off course he is state guest there.

The thing is, closing the border is never going to be practical. A friendly border where our army was NOT engaged was our strategic asset. US/India have converted this into a tactical problem. Agreeing on border management will turn it into a strategic nightmare. There is simply no way to deal the whole border and the malevolent elements calling for do more will keep pointing fingers at us until one day they find a good excuse to attack our sovereignty. Denying these facts is either incredible folly or outright high treason nothing else. The only solution is to overthrow the government in Afghanistan.

I wonder how the "living, recruited & operating" are in control of major parts of Afghanistan.

http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/interactive/2016/08/afghanistan-controls-160823083528213.html

This report released in Sept 16 says Afghan govt has lost "control / influence" in 70% of Afghanistan from the previous year figure of 65%.

So i wonder what magic does these living, operating from Pakistan have that they have such mass areas under their control with majority being hundreds of miles away from the border with Pakistan. They must have some kind of teleportation device that they transfer troops to and from Pakistan and keep a control.

just read this....
U.A.E has blamed Afghanistan government for the attack ...
they don't blame taliban , they don't blame ISIS , they say that it is internal rivalry among afghan official to get aid from U.A.E for themselves ....
the main officer meeting with those U.A.E officials just left the room 5 minutes ago leaving U.A E officials to die....
and here we are , publishing every news in Indian media without confirming or anything ....
the news about U.A.E thinking about relation with Pakistan , is totally false , there investigative team had blamed afghan government ....
only the government officials can enter together house....

Just close the border and problem solved. Why Afghanistan opposes strict border controls by Pakistan then?
Also Mullah Radio is hiding in Afghanistan and so are plenty of TTP.
Ghani has verbal Diarrhea. Wonder why COAS even bothered to call the imbecile who cannot control anything 10 miles outside Kabul.
