Pakistan pins hopes on Trump for F16s, CSF money

LOL this Indian fool is in denial mode again. In the Indian mind everything is supposed to be fake.

WASHINGTON: US defence secretary-designate James Mattis has said that the Trump administration would offer incentives to Pakistan to cooperate with the United States on critical issues.

Why would any country offer carrots to another country when they don't require something from them? Not only are you Indians ugly physically, but you are also ugly from the inside.

They won't improve and no one is under this illusion. We will find out in time.

Personal attacks... burn it shows your level of frustration.

You mods out there, does this not deserve a ban or a negative rating. You hypocrital stooges

LOL all Russian built. You only manufacture rape and ugliness.

...as part of Phase IV. I was pointing to the fact that the Su-30MKIs were assembled from knockdown kits in phases I, II and III (albeit semi-knockdown in II & III). Since you said that HAL was manufacturing Su-30MKIs from before BlackMist was born, that would make BlackMist 3-4 years old (since Phase IV was started in 2013). Which I doubt.

Probably he was the male nurse later fired for having 0 knowledge even in that field :big_boss:

Ohh for God sake plz forsake F16s and USA now .

Noooooo .... dont buy any more F16 , even they give it for free.
in the longer run , F16 will not not worth it if they are sanctioned and their parts will be sanctioned

Seems like politicians are raising their backsides in the air again for the Americans.

Trump in terms of racist and hatre level against Pakistan is tenfold compare to previous obama administration. And somebody think US-Pakistan level will improve under Trump? How Naive..

We have the future Secretary of Defense Matthis making offers to Pakistan, mainly incentives. Which is a continuation of the Obama Administration policy. Don't take Trump's election campaign rhetoric too seriously, he has backtracked on a number of issues already and will do so once he takes up office. Matthis's offer may be a hint of this.

again F-16 hysteria ?

Many circles in Pakistan have a deep love affair with the F-16 and they have a hard time letting go. But I believe there is a growing consensus that the time has come to look beyond the F-16, but it will take some time.

I say do the following:

  • Instead of asking for 8 Block 52+ get a full squadron of 18 aircraft but with SABRE AESA & internal IRST, i.e. a Viper version.
  • Upgrade existing Block 52s to the same standard.
  • Get the remaining 12 Block 15OCUs currently being operated by USN Aggressor unit & upgrade them with the items taken out from above 52s together with some new items. This will give us some 60 MLUs distributed in 4 squadrons.
  • Get something around 40 Block 42s from the USAF which they will soon be retiring & upgrade them to either 52 or Viper standard. They can be fitted with conformal fuel tanks.
  • Ask for maintainence & overhauling facilities in Pakistan to support such a huge number of aircraft in the fleet.
F-16s are practical & very useful.

So by around 2020 this will give some 8-9 squadrons & together with similar no. of JF-17s & 3 F-7PG squadrons will allow PAF to retire all F-7Ps & Mirages.

PGs will be the first aircrafts to be replaced by the 5th gen aircraft & then the older F-16s.

This will make PAF a well balanced 3 type air force.

About possible future sanctions rest assured that after the changed geo-politics US cannot afford to lose Pakistan.

:hitwall: :hitwall: :hitwall:

Though I do admire your spirit, but why not ask for F-35s while you are at it? I think you have an equal chance.

Nevertheless, I think PAF has made the decision to move beyond the F-16.

They also come again and again to ask us to ''Do More'' despite of getting their *** kicked every time ............. Its all about interests. :coffee:
who kicked their *** pakistan?????interesting observation

I think the more prudent thing would be to wait a bit till the new administration settles in. I suspect the crunch is whether the 16s are offered with CSF. I suspect PAF can take the line that 16s are now a bonus rather than necessity. I dont however see PAF paying 100 million per plane from national exchecquer without AIM9X release plus more C7/Ds.

It's not Trump you have to worry about. The biggest obstruction to Pakistan in getting F-16s is US Congress. And I don't think their minds have changed much about Pakistan.
