CPEC, I think Army needs a Gov that has good acceptability in Punjab and Baluchistan to see off the project. If PTI can pull it off in next elections maybe things will change. National security threat is a blanket term, some threats direct some indirect and far reaching, one has to chose battles wisely at time of war and Pakistan is at war on multi dimensional levels. Probably PML n will face justice from a common man rather than at the hands of a general which is far better as the history tells us.

However, Dawn Leaks is a much more pressing issue for the officers.


Young boys are stupid to believe in the rather silly notions of nationalism and patriotism. I was once motivated by this hogwash as Pakistan Studies course in our education is specifically designed for this brainwashing.

However, the Generals are not kids. They are in their 50s and have seen enough of the world to understand that they need to make their own and their children's future rather than running like headless chickens. Generals would only act in their individual or collective interest, not for army fan boys on social media.

Have you ever witnessed the small flags people hang in their homes on 14th August? This is just to make their children happy. I remember, I used to plead to mom and dad to buy me these flags and stickers. Now these silly things are just memories of childhood like cartoon characters.

The Pindi boys must be laughing hard that they have a large number of gullible fans who root for them out of their ignorance.

Now public is being fooled again..in this topi drama... Committee was supposed to submit its report within one month...but now 2months have passed but nothing abt the report...and even if it comes...it will accuse a low level officer for the leaks.....a scapegoat will be made..tht is IF. EVER its report is made public..which i highly doubt...

I wonder when this has been decided already tht real culprits ie Maryam Nawaz cant be punished..then why this case is even talked abt...and released in media by army...? To fool the public? Earlier also corp commanders conf press issued a statement tht its a breach of national security..and then nothing.....now...its being released in media through sources tht officers asked questions abt it... Do they take public as fools? Why create hype abt an issue..regd which u dont have guts to punish the real culprit? If u dont have guts..just stay silent..but dont take public as fools..and play with them....memogate, dawnleaks....same history repeated.. Public ko pagal banaya hua hai sab ne...

Really? Tht day will not come, atleast in our lifetime, when Maryam nawaz will be punished for dawn leaks.. This is Pakistan, we are talking abt.... I am here... You are here... We will all see...if Maryam Nawaz will be punished or not?We know she is the culprit.. None othere than her, in the PM house could do /order such a thing and her calls were also taped and her whatsapp messages... What will some lowlevel officer get out of such leaks? Nothing... So lets see...whether she is punished or not? Or if someone is made scapegoat.. And tht too, IF ANY ONE Is ever punished on this case, and its report is made public..which i also doubt


If everyone knew the answer then question is irrelevant and having no weight.

Everyone knows the fate of panama leaks case too..but tht case is in court... And there also, all evidences and contradictory statements are for all to see... Everyone, except the judges know tht Nawaz Sharif family is lying and they are culprits...but just like judges are innocent there, who know nothing...similarly maybe ...authorities who are investigating dawn leaks know nothing, but everyone else than them knows tht who is the real culprit, ie Maryam Nawaz.. Just like Nawaz sharif will get a clean chit from judiciary inspite of being guilty in panama case, similarly Maryam Nawaz will get a clean chit, inspite of being guilty on dawn leaks

The institute has a strong policy and SOP to follow. Indeed, it is an institute and this is the proof that RS was not independently following the matter on personal wish but it was a National Security Issue so now the current COAS will follow the same. Also, RS couldn't conclude the matter in hurry to take credit at all and as the matter was about Nation' Security not RS alone, he let the system works the way it should be..... I have no impression that he wanted to conclude it for the individual credit at all. There would be lot of opinions among senior military leadership about the matters but there was no opposition to RS in this regards as well. Institution worked the way it should be under the command of RS on this matter, as per SOP.
