That's like me some times ago, encountering a fellow citizen who was on self-masturbation mode about seeing/wanting France becoming a german lander or an integrated part of Germany.

Why not ? Everything is possible, everyone has dreams. :partay:

It seems you’re good in English. Aren’t you aware that you should use a capital letter for nationalities ? Correct your mistake (I supose it was a mistake) or face the consequences.

Is there any way?
It seems the US and its Allies have control on UN and Olympics and almost everything.

But Crimea was part of Russia, just given to Ukraine as a gift by Comrade Khrushchev, not even have asked Russian people.
It 's totally different from Hawaii, which US get rid of its king and put into its own pocket.

USA have no allies, they have slaves/lackleys like tiny lil England. USA will collapse under the weight of its own crimes (like the Holocaust of Native Americans). US regime continue to persecute Native Americans and tries to poison their water by building the so called Dakota Access Pipeline.

Ukraine's evidence were taken seriously, says Yuriy Lutsenko

The International Criminal Court in The Hague has accepted the evidence of Russia's war crimes committed amid the conflict in Donbas, Ukraine's prosecutor general Yuriy Lutsenko claimed on Tuesday, the Interfax agency reports.

"Yesterday at the ICC prosecutor's office we contemplated the evidence of Russia sending regular troops against our forces home front near Ilovaisk, violating an arrangement on the green corridor for the retreat for our military, who have been outnumbered 18 to 1 sometimes, and dressing its armour as Ukrainian," Lutsenko said.

The Ukrainian part provided evidence of Russia's extrajudicial executions, tortures, kidnapping, summary executions on the spot, the prosecutor also claimed.

"All these deeds constitute war crimes and offences against humanity. Our proof was considered very strong. The official ICC and the prosecutors' office procedures will follow. They might take a long time," Lutsenko said.

The Russian minister of defence, 18 generals, 2 admirals and several other members of Russia's armed forces may be accused of unleashing the aggressive war against Ukraine and violating the Geneva conventions.

So what? Ukraine doesn't dare go to war with Russia over Crimea. Crimea has more than 2 million Russian citizens 0 Ukrainian citizens. Only war can get Crimea back.

UN didnt recognize anything. Stop spamming the forum with Ukrainian fake media fictional news from parallel reality. The resolution was adopted by UN committee and got 76 votes (39% of total UN members).

UN General Assembly votes for resolution on human rights in Crimea

The United Nations General Assembly on December 19 voted for a resolution on human rights in Crimea, titled "Situation of human rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol (Ukraine)," which was initiated by Ukraine and supported by the UNGA Third Committee, UNIAN reports. 70 UN member states backed the document, 77 abstained and 26 voted against it.

The General Assembly has called on the Russian Federation "to take all measures necessary to bring an immediate end to all abuses against residents of Crimea, in particular reported discriminatory measures and practices, arbitrary detentions, torture and other cruel, inhumane or degrading treatment, and to revoke all discriminatory legislation." It also urges Russia to "immediately release Ukrainian citizens who were unlawfully detained and judged without regard for elementary standards of justice, as well as those transferred across internationally recognized borders from Crimea to the Russian Federation."

Russia should also "address the issue of impunity and ensure that those found to be responsible for abuses are held accountable before an independent judiciary." The UNGA also urges the Russian authorities to "create and maintain a safe and enabling environment for journalists and human rights defenders to perform their work independently and without undue interference in Crimea; to permit the reopening of cultural and religious institutions."

The UNGA also calls on Russia to "revoke immediately the decision declaring the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People an extremist organization and banning its activities, and repeal the decision banning leaders of the Mejlis from entering Crimea." It urges the Russian authorities to "cooperate fully and immediately with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and the Council of Europe on the situation of human rights in Crimea."

Further, the UNGA urges the Russian Federation to "ensure the proper and unimpeded access of international human rights monitoring missions and human rights non-governmental organizations to Crimea, recognizing that the international presence in Crimea is of paramount importance in preventing the situation from further deterioration."

As reported earlier, the Third Committee of the UNGA on November 15, 2016 passed a Ukrainian-sponsored draft resolution about human rights in Crimea, titled "Situation of human rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol (Ukraine)." The resolution was the first international document designating the Russian Federation as an occupying power and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol as a temporarily occupied territory.

President Petro Poroshenko praises the adoption of the UN GA Resolution “Situation of human rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol (Ukraine)”.

“I am sincerely grateful to all partners for support and participation in the elaboration of that important document. From now on, the given Resolution assigns status of invader and full responsibility for the brutal violation of human rights in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine — the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol — to Russia at the highest international level,” Petro Poroshenko emphasized.

The Head of State noted that the given decision of the UN General Assembly “is the most important sign of international unity and solidarity in times when the worst practices of the Soviet Union are used in Crimea, including methods of ‘punitive psychiatry’, show trials, abductions, tortures and even intentional murder of people who openly protest against Russian occupation of Ukrainian territories”.

“Today’s decision is a demonstration of broad support of the international law and basic values of post-war world order. The aggressor must feel high price for crimes committed in the Ukrainian territories,” the President emphasized.

Petro Poroshenko noted: “The most efficient and non-alternative way to restore justice is full de-occupation and restoration of Ukraine’s sovereignty over the Crimean peninsula. Crimea is Ukraine. We continue struggle”.

Ukraine expects the tribunal within the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, which will study the issues related to Crimea, to start work in the middle of 2017, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine for European Integration Olena Zerkal has said.

"We have completed all the necessary pre-trial procedures. The fact that the Russian Federation agreed to the creation of arbitration and tribunal, that they participated in selection of arbitrators - all this gives us hope for a more serious approach to its solution. We certainly hope that the arbitration will begin work from the middle of 2017," she said in an interview with the Ukrayinska Pravda edition.

According to her, the tribunal should make the decision in 2019-2021.

"Under the negative scenario, with the longest procedures, this is the middle of 2021; the fast-track scenario is not earlier than 2019."

The official stressed the tribunal would not consider the question of the state affiliation of the occupied peninsula.

"The ownership of Crimea is not in question - the tribunal will not consider this issue. The matter also does not concern the delimitation of the borders ... For the whole world Crimea is an occupied territory ... So there is no question of revising our maritime borders," she said.

Now who is going to bell the cat and hand over Crimea to Ukraine ??

the crimea did what had to be done they are russian staying in Ukraine but the new government of Ukraine which took power were extremist and terrorist they threat to kill all those russian speak ppl so they vote and want to be part of russia now they are

blaming russia for the once mighty ukraine was wont solve anything

I think in this case we have to support Russia and people of Crimea Russia , 100% as they are part of happy russia

Most of Ukraine is better off living with Russia anyways , as they will not be accepted by other cultures

I really don't understand the recent Agression against Russia i.e NATO buildup against peaceful Russia , in their own land

I fully sympathise with the people of Russia in this case , and grave injustice agains their country by these sanctions and negative attitude

Russia treats Ukraine way way way more better then any other euro country , I mean Russia literally gives them free gas all the time

What a joke ... Crimean people are happy ... They don't feel occupied and here is UN stupid declaration ...

UN is loosing its face by becoming a rubber stamp of US ...
Exactly. Did anyone take into consideration the wishes of the Crimean people?

The Netherlands is not supporting Flemish seperatists. There are no little green men in Belgium. ;-)

Natural processes or not, we do all live within an agreed upon legal and political frameworks, and there are legitimate ways you achieve change (and if that takes longer then so be it)

These frameworks were disregarded when NATO supported the illegal coup.
The thing is Crimean people are HAPPY being part of Russian federation. They willingly became part of Russia in response to illegal coup in Kiev.

If Russia took Crimea and the the people of Crimea were NOT HAPPY, then that is different.

I do not think that Poland or Estonia wish to join Russia whereas Crimeans did/do. That is the difference.

Sure, that's convenient, isn't it: just disregard anything you don't like.

Since when has people's happiness become the guiding principle in international relations?

Yet Russia is posturing, with reference to (imported) Russian minorities living there

So tell me what is the guiding principle in international relations?

Crimea is part of Ukraine. Russia illegal annexation. I bet Crimea was part of Crimean Khanate longer than it was part of Russia.

The coup in Kiev was illegal. This was a reponse and the people of Crimea are happy.

Now if the Khanate was not oppressive and did not attack Russia unjustly then Russia would never had just reason to fight to take control over that land.
