Raheel Sharif's conditions to head coalition accepted by Saudi Arabia

BD? No.
Egypt? Relations are a bit cold at the moment, could be because of winter.
Saudis can buy Egypt, and Egypt is for sale at current moment. Economy is about to hit dead ends.

@bold... Bangladesh??? Like really? What standing does Bangladesh army have? N one counts them as a strong, capable well trained army.. Theres no comparison with Pak army
It is not about what will BD able to achieve there. Even if they send 5000 soldiers on the ground and lose all the way from Houthis, It will be enough to bring all the good things for BD. And Saudis will be obliged to them.
They are already deployed in Kuwait.

They are not as effective and efficeint as Pakistan armed forces but Saudi will go to other options if we dont take this opportunity. India has already successfully taken away UAE. But, Indian will never do anything practical against Iran. So, Egypt, which is on a verge of bankruptcy, and BD, which has nothing to loose here only win, will be the options.
I see no alternative to the Pak connections at the moment..

There will bt not alternative to Pakistan army ever. Pakistan can end the crisis in Yemen within a month. I am talking here from the percepctive if Pakistan does not take the chance. Which is, Alhamdulillah, no more an option as we are in the game and will be. Only good thing about our Ganjas is their foreign policies.

Although I confess I got this wrong - I doubted that this would happen but it has happended. On the other hand I am chuckling in satisfaction that General Raheel Sharif Sahib has placed three conditions which show the wisdom, self respect and integrity of the man.

1. Iran to be invited - Wisdom
2.
No Saudi above him - Self Respect
3. Right to mediation - Establishing his integrity

*I am waiting for people to label Gen. Raheel Sharif a "closet Shia or Iran lover" for having the temerity to make demand No.1

This alliance is not exactly abt sending troops to Yemen.. Gen Raheel Sharif is offered to lead IMAFT, organise & structure the force, from scratch, will involve training ... Can you imagine KSA asking a Bangladeshi general to lead IMAFT, which have no experience in counter terrorism? Also otherwise, Bangladesh army has no standing.. If it was just about sending gound troops, i would have agreed reg BD..but this is much more than tht.. Its about leading IMAFT, and organisng and structuring it....

Come on folk, there is nothing shia or shia labeling here. While the inverse of this was actually happening. When the people were accusing those who support his involvement in the alliance as Saudi Boat licker. Nobody thought the alliance as some kind of the triumph against shia faith. The only concern here is the security of the gulf.

Yemen is wound and a persistent threat to KSA. Saudis will not sit unless they have the satisfaction of peace on southern boarders. While, another big threat is IS on northern boarders. Which currently is not live yet and Pakistan army is already deployed there. So, first assignment of this alliance is Yemen, and there is nothing wrong in that. We can hope that things may resolve on table.
And, as I already mentioned, I am not saying BD is anywhere near to becoming a force. I am only saying that there is nothing which will stop them from sending soldiers in return of KSA's love.

People will speak one thing or another either way.

Its time that Muslim world creates a military force including Iran, KSA, Egypt, Turkey to crush all these terrorists. Terrorism/Terrorists will never be eliminated with any western powers involved.

What is the status of Indonesian army are they any good. They should have a pretty large force considering the population.

A coalition that yet doesn't know the definition of terrorism it's supposed to combat.
You got to start some where and this is in the right direction.
There will be failures and casualties along the way but we will have to remain steadfast.
There are a few Pakistanis involved in the Syria conflict as well so we are in it whether we accept it or not.

Start where you may, most of these nations consider any threat to their crown or family as terrorism.

Exellant points you make. The truth, the real truth is the real enemy of the Muslim world is Muslim themselves. Walking down a street in a Western capital before insulting you or calling you a 'terorrist' they rarely stop and ask = "eh exuse me are you a Shia, Sunni, Wahabi, Barelvi, Iranian, Pakistani, Arab, Turk, Tunisian"?No, to them your just a scum Muslim terrorist.

The fact of the matter is to resolve the problems in the Muslim World all Muslims have to be included. That is why Gen. Raheel Sharif in his senses to insist on including Iran. If you don;t then any such alliance by default just becomes a sectarian force and will not make step in making progress toward peace. If you don't include all parties you can't chart a path to peace. That much I think is self evident. The fact is and nobody can say otherwise for too long the schisms and divisions of the Muslim world have profited the enemies of Muslims.

Divide and conquer - Muslim countries and people have like sheep to the slaughter walked straight into gates of purgatory. Look you have example of Saddam Hussain. He was used to attack Iran and then after having been used he was destroyed. Iraq today is in the state it is because of the foolishness of Saddam.

Ps. As regards the Indonesian Army - I have lot of respect for them. It is capable and tough force. I regard Turks, Pakistan, Iran, Egypt and Indonesia as countries with armies that pack a punch. Rest are for show only. As regards Bangla., forget about it. Let them fish in the sea.
