Perhaps the Indian posters are confusing the Vitara and the Vitara Brezza. The Vitara is a size bigger, whereas the Vitara Brezza is a compact SUV. I doubt this is the Brezza - it can't be priced so ridiculously.

I was under the impression the Brezza is an India-specific model and not the same as the Vitara sold abroad. The version in Pak definitely has more bells and whistles like a 4WD and seems a size larger.

I doubt they expect to find many buyers. When a company wishes to reboot its image from a cheap manufacturer - they tend to launch some of their most desirable products and then start launching more mass market products. Fiat India has been tottering - so they have launched the Jeep brand in India at an absurd cost. Before introducing the Duster and the runaway hit Kwid - Renault India launched the Koleos and the Fluence. Suzuki probably has the image of a poor man's car in Pakistan. They wish to change that image. Even in India Suzuki's Grand Vitara and Kizashi were major flops. They then decided to have a completely different showroom for their premium products called Nexa.

Yes, they completely re-defined the segment with that car. A couple generations ahead of the competition. Still, from what I understand the Renault-Nissan After Sales Services is a hit or a miss.

As announced by ProPakistani beforehand, Suzuki Vitara has officially been launched in Pakistan. Suzuki held a ceremony to celebrate the launch.

Speaking at the start of the event, Mr. Azam Mirza, General Manager Marketing Pak-Suzuki said:

Today’s star is the all new Suzuki Vitara. It’s 1.6 litre engine gives strong performance on city roads as well as off-roads.

After a long wait, two Suzuki Vitara’s were presented onto the stage, one blue and red colored.

It was also announced that Suzuki will be releasing two variants of the car, the GL+ and GLX. Here are their prices:

1. GL+ – Rs. 3.490 million
2. GLX – Rs. 3.799 million

Not only the event attracted all the auto-lovers but also a handful of celebrities, including Fawad Khan. The Pakistani actor became the first owner of Suzuki Vitara. He is also the brand ambassador of the new Suzuki Vitara.
