The 40 percent space that we are not in constitutes some of the very obvious segments. We are not there, for example, in the premium hatchback segment. So that’s one obvious wide space for us. Similarly, in the executive sedan segment and compact SUVs we are not there.

Mr. Pareek said that the company has finalised product plans for the next five years, and that many of the upcoming models are in “various stages of development”. For some vehicles, Tata is also planning production capacities, the executive said.

Veera Vahana, a Bangalore based bus body builder too had come up with their own low floor city bus & tarmac coach designs.





SMK Prakash, another major bus body manufacturer from Bangaluru is developing their own multi- axle sleeper coach.

As the bus body code is being implemented we'll see more bus body manufacturers launching their own proprietary products instead of just building bodies on OE chassis.
