KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Vawda's vehicle came under fire on Friday in the Delhi Colony area of the city, local media reported.

"Unknown assailants opened fire on my car upon which my guards retaliated," Vawda told DawnNews.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took notice of the incident and requested a report from Inspector-General Police (IGP) A.D. Khawaja.

"Total six bullets were fired at the car," said senior PTI leader Imran Ismail, adding that the gunmen were just a few metres away from the car.

"The gunmen opened fire on Vawda from his side and then I was fired upon from the opposite side. I told Vawda to 'accelerate the car, we're under attack'."

Both Vawda and Ismail escaped unhurt.

In May 2013, PTI Vice-President Sindh chapter, Zahra Shahid Hussain, was killed in an attempted robbery incident on the eve of re-polls in Karachi’s NA-250 constituency.

Because of local bhai log supporting their terrorist organization. TTP in FATA and MQM in Karachi would never be able to function without local support. Establishment is letting AH die slowly disgrasefully instead of making his a political martyr. Otherwise he will be another Bahi abhi zanda hy.

The trained assassins were either killed by Rangers, underground or in Rangers detention. Besides, you need a freaking RPG to scratchthat car. Its the elite plate armored Land Cruiser, the thing is like a freaking tank.

Yep you are right it was only he is alive because the car was bullet proof, otherwise there is no doubt he would have been severely injured or dead, the target killers are highly trained and need to be hunted down, unfortunately karachi has a long way to go, before normalcy returns.
