The Type 052C is already AESA, and it was introduced back in 2004-2005.

The US has planned a 200 petaflops supercomputer by 2018, while China will have three 300 petaflops in the similar time frame. It does look like the US has dropped the ball.

China plans the exaflop supercomputer by 2020, the US by 2025.

It is fair to say that China got the first AESA Aegis, so far all Flight IIA belong to PESA Aegis.

I don't care if its 1, 2, 3, 4 or even 10. There was a reason why 4 was put on the Burke or adopted by others. So just cause China built 4 doesn't make you guys the first and the most experience.

China's Type 052C/D was definitely heavily inspired by Burke's classic design.

However, China immediately started with AESA on the Type 052C, so it is unfair to say that China has copied the PESA Flight I/II/IIA.

a very simple level. They do no understand that China is already richer than US in PPP and growing many times as quickly.

Now that China has perfected competitive weapons
systems like Type-055 cruiser, Type-095 SSN and
J-20 stealth fighter, it will produce them in bulk
to become a military peer to the US by around 2030.
