Government seeks US help to locate missing AN-32 plane, says scope of sabotage 'very less'

Buddy how you control your BP after so many negative posts ....

On topic we air lifeted Americans from Yemen it does not mean US is weaker then India or not capable to save their own citizens ...in International arena countries cooperate with each other and there is nothing wrong in it

US is a declared superpower vs India which is aspiring to be one, but acts differently.

@Windjammer, Don't know about every inch, but almost all of India's 5-6 reconnaissance/observation satellites monitor Pakistan's major military bases on a daily basis.

But this case is totally different as for this particular incident Indian government has not sought the help of general reconnaissance or SAR equipped satellites but help of Orion SIGINT satellites of US intel agencies which are known detect even the faintest electronic/signals emissions and transmissions.

US is the only country to operate advanced satellites of such category.

BTW India won't be the first country in the region to use US help to search for missing personnel, during the Gyari avalanche US search teams arrived in Pakistan to search for trapped PA soldiers

Since when aspiring something become wrong ???

but India never said they are super power or world power never heard any Prime Minister calling India as super power ???? They aspire to be and there is nothing wrong in it

No one is mocking dead soldiers. One simply wonders about tall claims and the capability of IN with their soopa soopa P-8I, Russian subs and spy sats. All failed to pick up the distress beam and have to look up to the real powers.

The same P-8 was allocated to search for Malaysian missing plane with no result.

well i dont think India can afford to take their satellites off of Pakistan ........... but meanwhile can anyone tell how many satellites india actually operate for espionage ?

so what we are being monitired by American satellites from decades now ? still managed to make nukes right under their nose

Indian leaders have proven to be loudmouth, present or past:

All foam no beer:

Threatening with a superpower like attitude and doing nothing:
All hat no cattle.
PM Modi on Pakistan - pakistan ko apni basha me jawab do (On aap ki adalat)
What happened of that brag?

And do not even compare Malaysia with India.
Malaysia has set a 2020 goal to become an advanced nation.
It issues passport in one hour.
Its per capita is way to high than that of India.
Its a clean state with tourists flocking.

And this country has no ambition as India has.

What happened of that brag?
what happened of the brag?
hum Pakistan py qabja kar k issy hindu mahrastra banayein gy?
I will repeat what i did in gujrat ?
you should take advise of Parikrama and stop derailing the thread .......... for the thing you are stating there are seperate threads for that or u can start your own

Still no link mentions any Indian leader declared India as Super Power ...when Dhoval said about Baluchistan he was nothing more then a retired IB officer

Did any 2611 like attack happened after that ??? if yes then please let me know

About Modi speaking in political rally is totally diff the actual ground realities ... Indira wanted to remove Poverty but it never happened .... most of Indian still consider her one of best PMs we have

Best solution to deal with Pakistan to secure our borders revamp Intelligence infrastructure and ignore them atleast on govt level

You are posting rhetorics with no actual material ...India is a developing country and this is reality

not only Indian leaders all leaders across globe are big mouths to emotionally deal with masses :) example Donal Trump

Folks need to understand few things

One thing is The Emergency Locator Transmitter , if that is ON then all aerial assets/Surface assets can use the ping if its within the said range of receiving the Emergency Ping to locate the debris or crashed aircraft.

In this case since the deployment happened in a quick time for SAR OPS and yet no debris has been found till date, it looks fair to conclude that EMERGENCY LOCATOR TRANSMITTER failed to do the job due to unknown circumstances as of now.

Second thing is the Underwater Locator Beacon which runs in Lithium batteries fitted to flight recorders or BLACK BOX. This starts pinging when it detects water immersion and has a range of 2 kms to sometimes 3~3.5km in very favourable conditions. Now this ULB is what is being focused on to detect the debris location. The ping is so minute that aerial assets cannot detect such pings and surface vessels can detect it if and only if wreckage is more like less than 2 km depth.

The area under consideration has a depth of more like 3.2 km implying we are not having an ability to utilise surface ships to detect pings of ULB unless again its extra favorable conditions (weather and lady luck by our side).

Thus in such a situation a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) and a Multi functional support Vehicle or MSV has to be used to check on Sea floors to see if we can detect that faint ping and locate the debris.

But there are limitation and challenges
  1. battery is normally for max 30 days
  2. there had been instances in different parts of the world when battery has been leaking and at times of actual crash battery is dead so we get NO ULB ping as well.

I hope now i am clear why P8Is to different aerial assets to surface ship has not been able to find An32 as of now.

The US satellite data check is for detecting the Emergency Locator transmitter ping not Underwater locator beacon/ping. Indian government wishes to check on record the ELT ping to help narrow down to ULB. But there is a high probability ELT search will yield no result and we will focus on ULB soon and get private operators help on this.

I dont know whats is all fuss about here.. very few countries have the equiments to go down so deep.. india asking for US help.. big deal ??? what should be more important is that find the aircraft asap so that relatives of respected IAF members can given a proper funeral to their loved ones...

The aircraft wasnt flying over Bermuda triangle that it just might vanish off, nor it has been associated with any conspiracy theories (unlike MH-370) so its quite surprising to see that till now not some credible debris have been found. It must be having some kind of transponder or some equipment that shud have sent its last location back Home. Nonetheless the sea was reportedly in high tide at that time so the possible wreckage must have washed away and scattered thousand miles from each other from possible crash point and that is where it makes almost impossible to find it till now with even P-8s , submarines, vessels, UAVs etc being used to trace it. But in any case the some part of wreckage must have made its way to nearest islands or some coastal city and that is the time some clues might be found.

I read following news local newspapers

One of the onboard person phone was ringing on 26th July.a nd family members gave the details to the authority.
