What's new

Turkish Unmanned Vehicle Programs

On the other hand, as i've read today, Tj90 jet engine for "Turna" target drone is started to be used.

1 System Bayraktar containing 3 TB-2, is delivered to EGM.
The production of other 3 TB2 is proceeding and will be delivered in this year.

Of course ! But it takes time to develop a product of high quality at the NATO standard. Only three countries in the world have developed UAVs armed Satcom - masters also Military satellite manufacturing, communication systems and cryptography (Data encryption) - long endurance fully operational (USA, Israel, China).

Turkey to get master's degree and full technological independence it also wants a national indigenous engine (Even Israel does not have this).

So it takes time. Patience…

...

So let's see the result !

We are coming slow but deep. And you know this... In a few years you won't find anything to write here... These are the good days for you... Then now, you can continue...

What are you talking about !?

We had a discussion in another thread & somebody linked to a post in here !

I didn't say anything bad about Turkey

Sorry if i offended you...

It is completely wrong. Karayel is an indigenous design of Vestel Defence. I worked in that project for 4 years !

Actually it was a plane. Vestel took the rights and turn to UAV.

I have never heard or read that it was a plane, as far as I know what we're seeing is the design of an uav.

Since someone claims to have worked on the project, I can understand the need to remain anonymous.

So if you want to prove that it was an airplane design, please link us the picture.

we saw the pictures of the plane before.

Looks like a light weight aircrafts but we need pictures to confirm!

Update:

Looks like an aircraft but the fuselage clearly designed as a drone !

I don't know what you have seen before but KARAYEL is completely genuine design.
we saw the pictures of the plane before.

I hear and read these kind of unscrupulous quotes in Turkey too. I believe that this is due to black propaganda activities carried out by some people. What should company do to convince the people under influence of this black propaganda ? Should they publish early sketches of Karayel, or CFD runs or load & FEM loops, which have been implied hundreds times in design phase or CAD files and their histories or source codes of the whole systems (over 2 million lines) or minutes of meetings held at least hundred times with DoD in design phases...

Front view looks nice bro.

Ready to kiss hand at bayram.

as i remember they bought rigths of a small plane and turned to uav. As you can see first prototype looks like an manned plane.

The picture you gave is the demo version of Karayel from 2008 (it is completely different than current Karayel). As far as I know only two demo version have been produced and made only a few flights. It has not made any flight after 2009. The cut-out where you see in the middle must be the bay for avionics. I do not know much for that prototype, it was long time before I started working. I have not involved in it but I have not heard anything in the company about they bought the design from somewhere else.

Sorry I can not give link due to forum rules but check Vestel Defence's web site for what the current Karayel looks like
and I tell once more as a person worked in its design & development team for 4 years : it has been completely designed and developed by Vestel ! Forget about technology transfer or design copy, not even single foreigner consultant has worked in the project. This is my word, the last one...

My little remote controlled car also has a plastic figure in the drivers seat, doesn't mean it's made so a human can drive it. The same goes for remote controlled helicopters for kids, etc.

My point is, you can admit to have been wrong no one is going to judge you.
