India’s missile defence system can bankrupt Pakistan

Indian spend 1 billion Pakistani spend 10million to counter it so who is breaking their bank accounts.
When money is tight people make good decisions that was Pakistani doing [emoji41]

article is just calculating the budget from legal resources, why do we just forget that to meet its defence needs armies around the world also use illegal means to prop up their defence expenditure.
Armies use sponsors, drug trafficking and other heinous acts to do this. so it is one side of the coin. and BTW defence always comes first for pakistanis no matter whether they eat grass or food..

Bankruptcy also comes in different shapes and sizes. In some departments Pakistan is already bankrupt if you watch closely. You can't make your gun heavy and shoulder weak.

We are not spending as our rich neighbor can spend billion for 36 planes and no need to worry about our financial situation.
Actually, Indian defence system has paved the way for us to struggle hard and fast to get and make same type of system for balance in the regional.
Same happened about any specific system that Indian acquired and it was matter of sometime that Pakistan got it.
So wait dear, till your system becomes fully operational and reliable, we will come up with parallel ABM system.

so what r you trying to say is it is due to defence expenditure? BTW if you watch closely the budget and economic review and international loan agreement u would come to know that debt servicing makes the larg chunk of load on common taxpayer money.
on defence expenditure, i agree that it hurts u in many ways but in practicality and international politico u need to prepare not only for war but the anykind of warfare. pakistan need not only to spend on modren weaponary but also the modren type of wars whether it comes in shape of cyber warfare or otherwise..
defence needs arises according to your engagements with your allies or eneimies and geopolitical situation and in my opinion pak is grappling on all fronts. so pak need to expend whether due to india or its geopolitical arena or due to concerns of its allies or enemies.
i think u got the point.

It is official that Indian crap eater drink heavily before writing such bull shit.

By looking at the heading, it reminds me of a conflict between Palestine and Israel.
To neutralise a rocket costing Palestinian US $60 Israel to launch missile for her defence costing them in millions of dollars (if I am not wrong IRON DOME).
So one can judge, in actual who put the squeeze.

Or they may consider their life invaluable, so they spend that much on their defense systems. How many hundreds of thousands of muslims have died in the past decade itself? Go fetch their value.

That's one way to think about it, but u can think about it that way, value of human life can't be convert to money, besides that damage it will cause to infrastructure and medical assistance to those who injured will surpass the cost of one missile, which is believed to be around 20k usd.

Its case of sour grapes.
If tomorrow there is news of Pakistani procured HQ-29s, PDF fanboy brigade will claim their nation can win a nuclear war fought against USA.

Be it Akash, Be it LCA, Be it Kewari, Be it Nirbhay, Be it Arjun.

Hi dear @Tipu7
Whether indian ABM can bankrupt pakistan or not is another debate, however I only wish you were little more enlightened with respect to what it takes to do "indigenous R&D". Anyways, dont worry i wont be writing gigantic explanations as to how these projects have benefited indian industry and academia. It is suffice to say that all the above systems with the exceptions of kaveri are either under service or advanced trials stages. But then again kaveri too has enabled indian R&D establishment to design a gas turbine engine from scratch. It is not the final engine that has come out of DRDO/HAL. Quite recently HAL took up the design and development of two small/medium sized aero engines -one for Trainer/small cargo jet application and another for helicopter application. The former,i.e HTFE-25 a 25kN turbofan that i myself witnessed on the test rig was almost entirely 3d printed in bangalore for speedy assembly and testing.

The shortcommings in the engine design has been thoroughly studied by indian academia over past decade and half. The primary reason for kaveri's shortfalls - "acoustic instability" has been subject of major research in my college. In fact one of my professor holds a patent in prediction of acoustic instability of gas turbine engines.
It is very childish to let nationalism cloud your judgmental capabilities and get swayed away by petty comments. I am sure more learned members like @JamD or @The Deterrent would tell you the research scenario in your country!

Hi ; So Can we expect Kaveri to be used in Tejas in 10 years time

Under sub-optimal conditions yes,it can be used! However it cant be used for full spectrum of load unless and untill they change the fundamental design of combustion chamber etc to remedy the combustion instability

SO is the Kaveri program still ON or has it been shelved due to some Bigger goal --
say US or French help in Jet engine technology
