F-16 is the most maneuverable thing in the air made by human till date. These systems are advanced weapons & will surely supplement the existing fleet of F-16s because 8 are almost 10% of the existing fleet.

Pakistan can surely order more of these systems in the future with the rising importance of our geopolitical presence. US will not let us go to Russians or Chinese for the sake of blocking few F-16s. Moreover, even PAF cannot retire its 1st tier fighting machines which are still one of the best modern 4th generation fighters and they will remain relevant in the world of fighter jets for next 2 decades atleast.

PAF will replace its old F-16s with MLUs & new ones in future but retiring this whole option from our inventory is not an option. The cost of this system is being payed by US taxpayers & they are coming with radars, avionics, precision targeting devices, training of personnel & other infrastructural support.

That's my point too. Pak with such a geo-strategic location can't be abandoned by the USA. Moreover, the USA has already invested a lot on Pakistan and can't just let Iran-Russian consortium a free ride. I think with CPEC the stake has even gone higher..

The establishment in USA is very strong..people dont realize it..CIA has been running dozens of its covert programs..NSA and FBI have been active on domestic front..CIA happily concealed the NAZI credentials of German scientist and put them in positions of high national security....CIA knows what is beneficial for the country and how to find ways around with a middle finger to senate..ISI replicates the same model..

India should buy some f16 from amrika - maybe a squadron - that will surely put a stop to any future amrikan sales of f16 to Pakistan and indian crying - india should act like a baniya not like a hootiya -

We very dumb comparison..because USA and China are after all deep partners in economy, trade and several other things..even if they disagree on few things..they are not enemies...and above all..India is not China...not even remotely..

Secondly Taiwan is a disputed Island...with China claiming its sovereignty..Pakistan is an independent country...

What else can India do except for crying & screaming.

I hope this is the last ever F16 purchase for us & we explore for good options without issues & restrictions. Of Course we will not get SU35 as Russia only uses such tactics to drag India in some deals, so Pakistan should try become part of Turkish 5th Generation fighter development & we should sign the recently offered deal by Ukraine as these moves will only enable our engg. to learn new techniques & methods.

I remember Pakistan trying Saab Griphen in Gen. Musharraf era but for some reason the deal didn't go through. So I hope Pakistan trues Saab griphen again & give it a thought as we should end this F16 fever once & for all.

The balance of power is already in India's favour why does the US still think that it can change the balance of power and why would US not want Pakistan to at least balance the conventional upper hand of India? Such an approach would at least put Pakistan off from the use of nuclear weapons because than we know we can deter India conventionally and dont need nukes for that specially tactical ones. Your take?

Its duty of Pakistani govt & diplomacy maestros to cash their importance. We have to portray our importance in order to get high cost of the product we sell. We should make a brand out of ourselves. Even the countries with unimportant geostrategic locations are portraying them more important than us. The next game will be started when we will have to chose from different mining companies to start the drilling for our oil, gas, coal & other mineral resources. All major power players including China, Britain, Japan, Australia, US, Canada will be offering us their services with packages. Our political leadership has to decide when to use that card.

Britain will come with their Typhoons, Americans will be offering their most advanced F-16s. Japanese will be offering their high-tech weapon systems. Whole world would have at our doorsteps because our Oil is more pure than that of Saudis & our Gas is more combustible than that of Iran
