China mulling trade route with Iran as Pak leadership bickers

its just a ploy by china for Pakistan to speed up the project or for more concessions.

China has invested a lot financially and politically for it to giveup at this stage.

China has too much cash. We invest in 40-50 billions dollars and not peanuts like 1-2 billion dollar. We can afford to do a few times. thanks to our deep foreign reserve of $3.7 trillion.

Dude you need a shortest and cheapest route so you build road through Pakistan, and the amount you spent on your need for road is loan to Pakistan and on top of that even though its for your benifit you charge intrest on that.it does show someone is desperate for both pe and nuts.
You can help our Pakistani friends by helping them by completing the cpec and then writing off ,when they financially low or atleast not charing the intrest after all they are your brothers :)

Our plan is to revive silk road, and we offer railroad for accessing chabahar

And china will reach chabahar through which route?

Who is talking about Afghanistan, the road pass through Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan

China on Thursday demonstrated the integration of West Asia in its New Silk Road connectivity project by flagging a train from its trading hub of Yiwu to Tehran.

The container train will cover a journey of 10,399 km in its maiden journey to West Asia in14 days. It will exit China through Alataw Pass in western China’s Xinjiang province, and then pass through Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan before heading for the Iranian capital. Yiwu is already connected by trains that head for Duisburg in Germany and Madrid.
There is no way to connect China to Iran through land via Afghanistan will never be reliable and peaceful. Article does not make sense.

The point is why put all your eggs in one basket no respectable merchants will do that. I believe its waste of a lot of effort and hard work if China abandon gwadar in favor of another route but why not have an alternative. Also the potential of the route is to the extent that if tapped effectively no gwadar or chabahar can satisfy the needs alone I even doubt that if both port work at full they even can satisfy the demand
Firstly, China shares a direct land border with Pakistan. We don't have any direct land border with Iran.

Secondly, CPEC is already a reality, Gwadar is already a reality. We have already made the decision to go through Pakistan.

Yes, it can pass through Central Asia, but China wants a 25 hours drive from Chinese Pakistani Border to the Gwader port as compated to the 3+ weeks journey now.
