NATO is ready to send troops to Turkey to defend its ally against threats on its southern flank, the head of the U.S.-led alliance said on Thursday after violations of Turkish airspace by Russia jets conducting air strikes in Syria.

"NATO is ready and able to defend all allies, including Turkey against any threats," Jens Stoltenberg told reporters before a meeting of NATO defense ministers in Brussels that will be dominated by the Syria crisis.

"NATO has already responded by increasing our capacity, our ability, our preparedness to deploy forces including to the south, including in Turkey," he said, noting that Russia's air and cruise missile strikes were "reasons for concern".

Don't mind him. As far as it means bashing the West/U.S then its ok. So dont be surprise to see them usng any opportunity to bash the 'evil' west.lol never mind that Turkey welcones our troops on its territory as a NATO member.

Actully NATO is bunch of weak white countries under ,US & UK safety umberla what ever the both , 2 decides they just fall for that ?lolzz

But , most of the times its UK & USA using NATO to attack or invade other weak countries specially Muslim countries , who are lacking strong , & well prosscesed govts ?

USA has just realised , that its been used by Israelis & house if Saud's against thier common enemy IRAN , who is the newly found friend of UNCLE SAM ?

Dunno about russia, but china for sure has sat quietely in past for all US adventures around, is sitting quietly at present, and most probable will sit quietely in future as well.

No, literally outside of the media this website is the only place where there is a NATO vs Russia/China type of dynamic, ive never heard anyone in my life really mention NATO apart from when I was in school history lessons, same goes to Russias problems. Russians seem to have a hard on for making their public perceive UK/USA in certain ways, the reality is most people here spare little thought for Russians and know little of the day to day life there apart from the fact that 90% of videos on the internet involving crime, car crashes, crazy drunks running around fighting, kids climbing cranes andnutters with guns during road rage come from Russia.

People on here and the likes of RT, they try to inflame situations that dont exist, the politicians will be politicians and bicker and moan about each others presence in certain nations but thats been going on for decades, there is no real issue here as they are all on the same level fucking the smaller countries when they could be helping them, Russia/US/China, they dont care about other nations, they just like to play games to keep the public in this sense of fear which is such bullshit.

The reality is different, China especially is pretty close to the west, has a huge diaspora spread out across the US and the EU where the people integrate well, start successful companies and offer alot of cross cultural exchange, I know plenty of Chinese and a fair few white guys who now live in China, the Chinese government invests heavily in local businesses through the west and is often on trade missions all over here and ive never really seen any hostility between us.

Russia isnt really in the equation, a huge nation with the GDP of California, they just like to throw their weight around making loud noises but thats all they can do, communism links Russia and China and they use each other to balance out things they wont like in the UN etc but make no mistake, Russia is about as important a power to China as the UK is to the EU, its nice to have them but they would move on without them.
