U.S. Marines declare initial F-35 squadron ready for combat: sources

Little info:
IOC reached 10 F-35B from VMFA-121 "Green Knights" squadron.
Current F-35B version is Block 2B.
They cam carry 3 typed of weapons:
AIM-120C
500-lb laser GBU-12
1000-lb JDAM GBU-32
All carried internally
SDB, AIM-9X, AIM-120D and other weapons are not available yet.

actually the f-35 has been said to be superior in lo tech. the f-22 is faster and holds more weapons though.In electronics yes but in LO technology slighty infirior to F-22

Yes, its very common for ex-JMSDF or current JMSDF officers to be sent to the United States or additional training or education. I came to the United States through scholarship afforded to me through the JMSDF (something similar to what the US Military provides for its current or former militarymen vis-a-vis the GI BILL). One of my colleagues who served in the JMSDF Office of Naval Intelligence actually is doing current research in the Pentagon. As far as I know, an American Naval Officer was also sent to the JMSDF Combined Fleet Headquarters.
Its a new paradigm in Naval cooperation between the US and the Japanese Navies.
