Another unmanned Russian reconnaissance drone has been shot down in Ukraine's eastern Luhansk region. Ukrainian border guards spotted the spy craft about 1.5 kilometers from the Russian border this week, some 25 kilometers from the front line of fighting between the Ukrainian military and Russian-backed insurgents.
It is thought the equipment was being used to collect information on Ukrainian-controlled military positions in the conflict zone. Authorities have now taken it away for further investigations.

It's not the first time a Russian drone has been shot down in Ukraine. In May, Ukraine's special forces ‘Dnipro-1' regiment downed a USD 6 million UAV near the militant-held town of Avdiivka, in the region of Donetsk. The surveillance equipment has been used to further illustrate the extent of Moscow's military intervention in east Ukraine, which makes any counter claims by the Kremlin barely credible.
