Nope...Trophy uses a shotgun like blast to eliminate incoming projectiles. AKKOR is the equivalent of Iron Fist which launches a explosive projectile interceptor.
- Trophy has 17 ammunition whereas AKKOR has 4. Plus side of AKKOR is it can neutralize kinetic energy perpetrators while Trophy can't.
- Another difference of the AKKOR is; It uses proximity fuse instead of time delayed fuse. Which offers better interception against projectiles which has variable thrust. (RPG-29)
- Possible downside of using using proximity fuse is offering less protection against RPG-30 which launches a precursor rocket prior to main round. (not confirmed, my guess)

PAK bro's do cooperate and should cooperate in future in all affairs. I believe Pakistan is the sole true allied and brother Country of Turkey. Lookk back to Turkish Independence War or Cyprus Intervention.

Leading Turkish defense company Aselsan has announced it signed an agreement regarding the “Active Protection System Development Project,” dubbed AKKOR, for the Turkish Land Forces with the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries (SSM), valued at 54 million euros.
The delivery of the Active Protection Systems, which will be developed and produced by Aselsan, will be made in 2020, added the company in a written statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on Nov. 30.
This system will be used in Turkey’s local tank, the Altay, as reported by Anadolu Agency.
The project will include design, development, testing and qualification and production of two Prototype-1 prototypes and two Prototype-2 prototypes with delivery of the prototypes to SSM.
The AKKOR system will provide a complete protection shield and will have the capacity of perceiving any threats immediately through its high-technology radar systems. Each radar sensor continuously scans a 100-degree arc, creating a full 360 degree detection capability with some overlap.

Somehow, i am getting the feeling that Al-Khalid is not living upto expectations and we have started looking for other options. It is beyond doubt that Altay is a wonderful tank produced by great Turks and Pakistan must get them in some decent numbers in case it passes the tests in hot desert and colder climates.
However, i would recommend that for the sake of our national pride and honour, we should have the will to make Al-Khalid a success story otherwise we simply have no right to mock indian arjuns.

Bro i think there is chance if requested Turkish companies could help you in building next generation Al Khalid tank
With better armor and shape, high tech FCS, APS, improved Turret and guns etc

it is a success story in the sense, that it was a decent tank made and built and sanction proof. It was not indigenously designed in pakistan but it served as a building block imo, the bad points are it obviously isn't a resiliant enough machine. the problem with HIT is the lack of money, i'm sure more can be done with the AK but where in the hell are there going to get the money.

Its better to buy 300 Altay tanks to replace the older 300 t-59 tanks. Al-khalid-II tank program should run in parallel.

Tank built of imported parts, mainly from Germany.....right now Turkish company TUMOSAN signed contract with Austrian company AVL for engine design and integration. TUMOSAN says it aims to conclude the program within 54 months and "with maximum possible local content.". So, be patient and wait for final production of this tank.
But Pakistani has more experience in light combat tank, and it is the need of Pak army. Pak army believe in speed and agility. Pak army war doctrine is based on American offensive doctrine .
