Pakistan must allow Afghanistan direct trade access to India through Wagah: Ghani

Actually,India-Afghanistan has borders as well(106 km long),which region is now in Pakistan occupied Kashmir...But for now,They need Pakistan's permission to reach Wagah.

This is why Pakistan creating Azad Kashmir was vital

Pakistan not only opened a vital route to China but we blocked india both from Afghanistan and Central Asia/Russia
My Geography is weak and Bangy opened a hitherto unseen fact to me.

Pakistan needs to go THROUGH Afghanistan to reach CAR? So all this time they were crowing on the piggyback of a sovereign neighbor?

P.S. @Bang Galore woah! I just looked at the map. Cut off Afghanistan from Pakistan and you cut off Pakistan from CAR!!!!! ha ha ha ha ha ha ha :enjoy::tup::lol:

We also have a route via China which now would just be an extension of the economic corridor that is akready being built

But its more that that Afghanistan is most economically integrated with Pakistan

India is our enemy so we are hostile towards it thus refuse to help yhem connect to CAR and beyond

We are not hostile to Afghanistan and have a number of things to work on with them as they have with us

Afghanistan - Pakistan -CAR is a natural relationship that will occur regardless

Well well, Pakistan's hope of Ghani leaning towards Pakistan must have be dashed :D

Why because he is begging Pakistan to give India access? ?????

Just use Chabahar and stop wasting our time

The problem it seems is between Afghanistan and Pakistan, Mr Ghani is threatening you not begging

We are already using Chabahar no issues. :P

Unless the Iran-Afghanistan-CAR becomes more successful, safer, has greater volume, ease of transit, and profitability for all concerned.

Afghan goods can have access to India through Pakistan - one way route only ;) India doesn't have a "market" on the eastern side which it could "offer" in exchange - so India doesn't qualify.

Or on the funny note; no route access to India unless they complete LCA bock-III :azn:

Absolutely we are more than willing to help Afghanistan take goods to India, we are brothers

But india is our enemy so they can go phuck themselves

not exactli thing is ghani wants to be part of two trade routes = china - pakistan- gadawar and india - pakistan - afghanistan - central asia while enjoying chabahar to afghanistan ....il say a very smart and pariotic politican

...
The Afghan president, who is in India on his first state visit, said Pakistan must accept the “national treatment” clause agreed to in the Afghanistan Pakistan Transit and Trade Agreement (APTTA), signed in 2011, which gives each country equal access up to the national boundaries of both.
...

Can someone let me know how allowing access to Indian territory is part of a bilateral agreement between Pakistan and Afghanistan ?

India is blocking our water and flush it at the times of flood, has occupied Kashmir and is causing terrorism from the western border in Pakistan - India needs to correct itself on several accounts before expecting a reward.

If you go by Pakistanis judgement of Mr Ghani, few days back they said that Ghani might have abandoned India for Pak, that was the context.

We have no issues with Chabahar their is plenty of business for all

Our main transport will be fir Pakistan itself, the MASSIVE chinese market, the GCC/arabs (who would never go via iran anyway) etc

Any thing e.g minerals being taken out of Afghanistan to china would be via Pakistan land route through the economic corridor, so use of our ports is only a natural extention

A healthy competition is good for all neither CAR nor Afghanistan would probably like to rely on one country

The only country we have a problem with is India

pakistan is are very emotional and impractical nation when it comes to trade routes where india is involved they dont mind losing billons of dollars them self if they can some how stop india making profit by using pakistani trade corridoar
