Pakistan must allow Afghanistan direct trade access to India through Wagah: Ghani

Cant you people debate without abusing anyone?
what national Interest? what is harm in allowing Indian trucks on Pakistan soil?

Can't you people debate without bringing in childish insults that result in abuse?

Would you allow Pakistani trucks using Indian roads to transport goods to Myanmar ?

It can be done provided Afghanistan gives assurance that its land would no more be used by the likes of BLA,TTP and other proxy groups against Pakistan. After all Foreign Affairs is all about give and take.

India must make peace for this to happen. We have already seen in the other threads that they are not prepared.

Its up to India and Afghanistan to treat Pakistan like an equal partner. Any other country would have done the same.

Lets solve Kashmir if you want access to centeral Asia... or try your luck to far east thru chicken neck rout.

Why not solve Balochistan and FATA issue... :)...

Table are turning at Iran. After Nuclear negotiation with Iran, West as well can use this port.

Afghanistan will be able to do business with India through Wagah but it will take some time. Security situation in Pakistan is not yet back to normal. Until all the TTP scum is fully rooted out and their sanctuaries in Afghanistan are destroyed, Afghan business with India through Pakistan is not possible.

BTW, business through Chahbahar is theoratically possible but will increase the cost of transport tremendously. Realistically, it is not an alternative to Wagah, irrespective of what certain folks are suggesting.

ghani is dreaming rather he should be greatfull to pakistan that it/pakistan is not inter fearing in afghansitan as it did in past as for trade route thru wagah to afghanistan well that will never happen as any " Muhib ul watan " pakistani will never allow india to make money by using pakistani trade route

Yep! The only way to do that would be to build a flyover across Pakistan 20 miles high!! :P
Flyovers , haha . Lolz PMLN is quite good with flyovers and roads and all .
On topic: seems like a legitimate thing to do , we must increase our trade with India . Nothing wrong in giving Afghanistan access to India , it will only help Afghanistan grow stronger . To be honest i think it might just become possible in coming times . A better bond of trust needs to be created between the two countries (India-Pakistan) .
@jamahir , @SrNair , @levina , your thoughts ?

That's a funny offer. This is Afghanistan asking you to give it access to India if you want access to central asia. Pakistan has no ability to give access to central asia on its own, it's merely one of the countries. Without Afghanistan, Pakistan itself has no access to central asia.

So we can checkmate Pakistan while they try to check us?

Delicious possibility.

Frankly saying, its just hollow words..Pakistan is not going to provide access as then it'll lose much of its leverage on Afghanistan(They're going to lose it anyhow, after Chahbahar). But Afghanistan's action will be interesting, will it follow path of clash and resentment or restraint.

They can't afford two hostile countries,India-Afghanistan-Iran alliance is a massive threat to Pakistan.

1.It means sharing forces to protect every borders, not only Eastern one.
2.It'd free dependence of Afghanistan on Pakistan.
3.If West makes a deal with Iran,It'd mean West's dependence on Pakistan will be over, which means loss of billions of free aid,and possibly, more hostile West and increase in "Proxy War".

My Geography is weak and Bangy opened a hitherto unseen fact to me.

Pakistan needs to go THROUGH Afghanistan to reach CAR? So all this time they were crowing on the piggyback of a sovereign neighbor?

P.S. @Bang Galore woah! I just looked at the map. Cut off Afghanistan from Pakistan and you cut off Pakistan from CAR!!!!! ha ha ha ha ha ha ha :enjoy::tup::lol:

Yes lets allow them this trade what a f**king joke . Pakistan should ask for trade via india to Bangladesh but no it will never happen. yet we must allow it.
It can happen if you are willing to pay for it.

The Afghan president said the Islamic State has challenged countries from “India to Russia” and that the regional countries must united to end the menace.

presently, the "islamic state" of afghanistan is as islamic as "islamic republic of iran" or saudia... not at all... that name itself signifies influence of taliban thought in the usa-permitted political class of afghanistan, which of course will be happily spoken to by the present reactionary government of india.

time was when afghanistan was "democratic republic of afghanistan".

of course it is a nice thing to do and it will help south asian common people to think of a united south asia in the near-future... we all can work for the day when a train leaves dhaka and ends in kabul.

but as a build-up to that, all this cannot be left to present central governments to supervise because the governments in afg/pak/ind are not progressive... the shaking hands in afghanistan is being done for tactical goals rather than just economic... so there needs to be international supervision.
