F-16 Block 52 vs Mirage 2000-5 Mk2

As Tay said, the 2000I are not fitted with M53-P3 engine, AFAIK.
Motorization is by the way the only great drawback of the 2000, but it's still able to achieve impressive acceleration, cruise speed (mach 0,95 with heavy payload) and max speed.

understood as a source for the development of the P-3, milady but as Corsair mentioned above,
the Indian government did not include it in the deal probably for cost reasons or just as it expected
the Rafale through MMRCA to take over power intensive duties.

On the other hand, Snecma did start a JV with Max Aerospace in late October last called MAEPL
More specifically, its main role will be providing maintenance services for the Snecma M53 engines powering the Mirage 2000H "Vajra" fighters, on behalf of the Indian Air Force (IAF), starting in 2015.

So at worse, Vajra maintenance is ensured under Make in India and besides, from what I heard,
M-2000s H/TH had enough power for the job in Kargil, did they not? ;)

A2G? kiddo JFT is used extensively in the last 5 years of fighting with taliban. Not everything that Oscar claims is true, basically he looks at things in a very negative manner. He only give a fair call when he is in a good mood. He isnt a reliable source, there are plenty of members in the forum who r part of armed forces or the defence industries to tell u better. Oscar however is none of them.

KLJ-7 has as good A2G capability as it has A2A and the success against a camouflage enemy speaks for itself.

I dont know if the RC400 was offered to pakistan before for JFT but the KLJ-7 performance is superior to the french system offered. Thats why we arent negotiating with them the previous package they offered.
 
Please keep the jf17 comparison out of this thread. We are talking about mirage2000/5 upgraded and paf best fighter the f16/52.


Thunder is a budget war plane with radar and weapons that fit it's low price.

Mirage2009 upgrade cost India 40 million a peice ie twice the cost of a thunder. And same price as the chinease premier fighter j10..

money spent is no criteria for quality. you guys suffer from inferiority complex and think spending more on imported stuff would make you invincible.

If money spent is no sign of quality then the idiots spending 129million each on f35,typhoon or rafales or the f15,silent eagle su35 and j10/j11 must be fools abd not smart like Pakistanis
