you are clueless that plane is not suitable for such role it sill break appart mid air if it uses those weapons
i didnt want to be as blint as @Horus but what i can say is you cant just add weapons and avionics on a craft and expect it to fly as originally desion let alone use the weapons a combat platform is tested and designed with rugged and reinforced fuselage

AH-1Z , T-129 , Mi-35 , Z-10. What are we getting? I think there won't be more than two platforms that we will operate. Is any of these 100% confirm? Because we are in a dire need.

if this is the case Pakistan wouldn't even bother asking for the AH-1Z and it's outdated??? and how exactly is it outdated to compared to the Chinese one??? surely it's just China finally managing to making equivalent or *cough* inferior attack helicopter.

I actually would welcome Pakistan buying 80 of these with ToT. I want to see them in action and I want to see the Taliban killed in the hundreds by them.



I must admit it's got nice curves and is very sleek look to it.

All we need is 80 of these Chinese beauties , we are not looking to kill UFO that we need Apache or anything like that

True... this is what i was thinking... i guess this is nothing more than bait.
problem with US stuff is that it comes, when its not needed and there's always a risk of embargo till last moment, not to mention the sanctions and tight compliance regulations, zero flexibility.
Pakistan needed a mature platform yesterday... now we are looking forward to a bloody 2015. we need to make sure that all north is covered, with a quick response force and comprehensive cover for ground troops.

I have started this thread 2 days ago... twice but some jealous guy deleted it on both occasions.

The Chinese Helicopters ok may be it would be 80% of US helicopter or may be 90% but you are getting a helicopter that you can always install a "BRAND NEW engine"

You are getting a helicopter you can equip unlimited supply of rockets , and helicopter that will get updates round the clock for latest avionics upgrade

I mean the Chinese helicopter would be ideal choice for Attack Helicopter as chinese have not been manufacturing helicopters locally for while and have become good at assembling and manufacting these birds

The rocket racks on the helicopters look simillar to anything us Heilcopter

Even if the US helicopter was equipped with marginally better engine , but China makes up for it with quantity and innovation


This is the view we want the Terrorist to see before they are dead

Double Engine at back , now I am not sure if its a duel setup but sure looks like it for more load carrying capacity similar to the latest helicopters in US Marines

Which means its going to a new platform. Your argument negates the argument that Pakistan Army cant go for a new platform. Pakistan has a professional army. I need to understand how long will it take to adapt and integrate a new weapon system.

already posted however i think PK has missed the boat on the super-cobra purchase.....

The problem is WZ-10 is not clear for export yet and that means it spec still remains tight lip for foreign.

Nope, I never seen this before. I usually delete duplicate threads. I post the facts only, but no speculations. Only few parts of news been referred from the past contract, like Pak acquisition or boats. But Cobra issue will be tabled on 23rd US-Pakistan Defence Consultative Group (DCG) meeting. Hope you understand what reporter trying to say.

Cobra 1Z is capable to launch Hellfire or BVR missile. Pakistani Cobra can launch only wire guided.
