When ignorance of Kalma made IAF pilot a Pakistan PoW

Politics aside - that is a very sad state of things. I'm speaking from a purely religious standpoint, as it's tradition that a man who has even an atom of the Kalima in his heart can eventually end up in Paradise. All the rest considered, of course.

Just ignore my babbling, I had a strange urge to put this out.
He was a 'kafir' from a purely religious standpoint. Please ignore my babbling too. :)

No. I am sure the commodore knew it. He did not WANT to recite it - is all. He preferred death to reciting the Kal'ma.

You did not read the article. Put your false pride aside and just accept it, that he first lied to them and tired to pose as PAF pilot, but when got caught he could not recite the Kalma and got caught. If he was so brave and did not fear death, then he would have told the truth in the first place.
Now this is no shame on his part. Human instinct is to survive and anyone would have done the same thing he tried to do. So just accept it.

Your hate has made you retarded, read the last line of the op. Had he known it, he would have recited it and been on his way.

That's not what he says, apart from that the appearance and even accent aare dead giveaway. You are a Kashmiri hindu? You sang our national anthem and any Pak could easily make out your nationality just from your accent/pronounciation.

He is Nepali Hindu, squatting in Kashmir. :D @SarthakGanguly

There's no hate. Kalima is easy to recite. He did not wish to. Chalo khair.

I refuse to believe that an officer in India will be unaware of the Kalima.
It has everything to with self preservation - coupled with the pride of an officer.
