Abe assures A.P. help to build world-class capital

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Friday assured Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu that Japan would extend full cooperation to Andhra Pradesh in building a world-class capital city.

Mr. Naidu met Mr. Abe at his office in Tokyo and invited him to Andhra Pradesh during his visit to India in January. He also handed over Tirupati prasadam and a memento to the Japanese Premier.

According to a note released by the Communications Adviser to the Andhra Pradesh government, Mr. Abe said: “Japan will extend full cooperation to the new State of Andhra Pradesh in its development.”

Mr. Abe was quoted as saying that this meeting would strengthen ties between Japan and India and open new vistas for both the countries in strategic and global partnership.

BTW has the city to be developed into capital been selected?
 
Good news.
But the core problem is how can Japan to carry out its promise.

There is still a controversy about will it be in Vijayawada or in Chittor, as Rayalaseema people want the capital in Chittor and Andhra region people want it in Vizag or Vijayawada.So not yet decided.

How will they get water in Chittor. Krishna river can feed millions of people in new capital.

Two choices: Vijaywada or Vishakhapatnam.

Both are important cities, major ports and can become powerhouses in the southeastern coast of India.

Vishakhapatnam may not be able to get a freeport option because of Navy owning pretty much every inch of coast there. It will face the same problem that Goa airport faces with time and capacity restrictions.

Vijaywada is the best option.

What are you talking about? Chandrababu Naidu declared Vijayawada as capital in Assembly. Land pooling has already started. Capital Region Development Authority is formed by scrapping VGTM UDA.. Also who in their right mind would chose Chittor or Tirupathi as capital. Certainly not CBN.

They will have to devise a new water project to get water into chittor more,as for now, there is Satya sai Baba Water project which supplies drinking water to all of Rayalaseema and Chennai, if the river linking project is done on a fast track every part of Rayalaseema will get water a plenty.
Besides they still have to settle the Polavaram dam and ettu pothala irrigation projects.
Krishna can feed millions, but point here is Rayalaseema folk say they are on the losing end on both sides in TG and SA they say the least CBN can do is make chittor the capital of SA, so they can find solace in it.
I dont know how CBN will manage it, Vijayawada has no more free space left for a new capital they require at least 30,000 acres.

Yes he did declare it, but then again he changed statement after 10 days, i was watching local news channels.
So far there are still many creases left which he has to iron out.
Seema people think CBN chose vijayawada due to its Kamma stronghold and they will dominate it all the way if its in Vijayawada.
So how he addresses those concerns of Seema people is upto him.
