Gripen exports......

Also wrong.
Based on current government decisions,
the number of Gripen-E for the Swedish Air Force will be 70 (60+10),
and none of the Gripen C/D will be kept in service.

Not really, the initial plan till the decision of the Swiss was to upgrade only the C's to E level and keep the D's in addition! That now has changed to replace the C's with new E's in addition to the D's. That's why Sweden doesn't develop the F version to replace the D's and offered the development to Brazil instead as an option.
Anyway, the facts remains, Sweden can't afford a fighter fleet above 100 (current plans are even lower), that's why they kept selling / leasing older Gripens from their initial C/D order and why they are selling / leasing C's now to replace them with E's, no matter if you like it or not.

I like Gripen...But at $100m-$110 each for a single engine?? ITS OVERPRICED. Any 4.5 Gen fighters priced at $100m-130m will be hard to sell. ie f-15, Gripen, eurofighter, rafale
I would rather get the 5th gen F-35 at $140-150m.

I want to like the Gripen, but I just don't see it doing anything other air policing the boarders.
might as well go with the Textron Scorpion instead
Scorpion: The Budget-Priced American Fighter Jet

give it a decent lightweight radar like EL/M-2032 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia two AMRAAMS and two AIM-9X and wahlaaa you got air policing jet.

only downside is it isn't supersonic.

Its an aircraft designed for light attack and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.Scorpion will be entered in the U.S. Air Force's T-X trainer program competition, alongside
