What's new

Our Model Of The Solar System Has Been Wrong This Entire Time!

Yes!
In an elliptical orbit I guess.
:)
Wrong? Am i?
Yes and no, the Earth and moon orbit around their barycenter(common center of mass) which is 1062 miles below the surface of Earth. It would look something like this:

Our solar system is not a vortex. It is more or less what you see in classrooms. This guy just made some high production quality video and suddenly everyone thinks he's the next Hawkings. Will post proof of his errors when i get home

Imagine baby birds flying with mom bird at centre ..they not only follow mom but changes their proximity and position wrt mom ...but these baby birds have unusual flying technique ..they twist and spin within itself ...thats a lot of work for baby birds to do ...

Most of the article talks about it being a helix, the vortex video was probably a blooper, a big one I didn't notice at first.

Edit: Author was probably confusing vortex as being the same as helix.

Ok ..then there is nothing wrong on what we studied ..We just have to add one more dimension to it ..so if true then earth is moving at three speeds at same time !!! Along the sun ,around the sun and spinning within...there will be little gravitational drag which can only be shown by three dimensional model i think ...
Yup.

It's a helix not a vortex author probably thought them as the same.

He is not the first one to say this. There is a PhD in Pakistan who also says something similar. And he claims to be able to prove it.

I thought the helix form was proven? It's so obvious how can it not be. :what:
From now on I am not going to assume what I know is common knowledge.

Btw, where the hell are we actually going on that never-ending roller-coaster ride?? :D
well maybe we are moving toward the center of the Galaxy or say towardS the SMBH sagittarius A* :D which is 26,000 lyrs from earth ,its gona be one hell of a ride :D

The biggest in 4 pic (Aldebaran)is know as "Rohini", Antares in 5th pic is Jeysta naksatra in Hindu Astrology :)
Is it? Well i have heard these names before but didnt knew abt them in detail, could you share a link abt it bud? :-) . I was intrested in studying upanishads and other astronomical text but couldn't get hold of any such books :( :pissed:

I guess @Vanamali is busy and that should be the reason he could not post any links. And when I tried searching on the topic then I could not find much.:(

No links but the guy is in Islamabad and he is holding is theory till he thinks it is the right time to publish.

I don't understand why this is news to anyone.

Current physics holds that all motion is relative and there is no such thing as absolute motion.

If people are surprised by this news about the Solar System, then they will be blown away by the fact that, when you sit in your chair, you are not actually sitting still. You are

- spinning around space, along with Earth's rotation (around its axis), and
- zipping along laterally, along with Earth's revolution (around the Sun), and
- zipping along with the Sun's revolution (around the Milky Way's center), and
- zipping along with the Milky Way's motion (within the Local Group), and
- zipping along with the Local Group's motion relative to another reference point, and
...

I am sure everyone knew about the relative motion. But did you know about the helix path planets follow?
re reading the article might help.
As the sun keeps moving forward around the galaxy, the earh can not keep revolving in a circular motion around sun.
Earth would get pulled as the sun moves forward ergo the circular motion that you see in 2D is actally a spring like path. And when the paths of all the planets 're taken together then it forms a helix around sun.
Wow.. I thought that the earth was flat and sun and moon went up and down...
Wow!
And you live in a 2D world where a pencil's tip would look like a sphere. It whooshed over you head I guess.
