Left behind as Asia forges ahead

BD is not suffering from social issues like Pakistan is. Infact, BD has been the most successful country in South Asia when it comes to dealing with social planning. This is the reason that slowly BD people are starting to trust their government and electives and the country is starting to move forward. Sri Lanka just ended its civil war and is not fully dedicated on the path of development. It has become the richest nation in south asia

India just had the largest mandate in last 40 years and the nation had made its choice. Modi is a pro development leader. Most east asian nations are already doing well.

Pakistan is the only weak link when it comes to major economies of Asia. They need to fix this. Not only for themselves, but for the betterment of other nations too.

We have some catching up to do. Pakistanis have squandered almost a decade worth of progress. Imagine where we'd be today, had we have grown at 2003-2006 levels.

Wrong again. India is projected to have 1.55 billion population in 2050 while Pak is projected to have 320 million. It means India will be only 5 times bigger than Pak in terms of population but would have 10 times bigger Economy ( almost 28 trillion when compared to Paks 3 trillion). It means India will have double the Per capita of Pakistan.

marked effects of dharamshalla

Projected population for India for 2030 is 1.5Billion+ compared to 234Million for Pakistan not 2050 my dear

2050:

India:1656Million
PAkistan:290Million

NOTE:The Prediction of 3.33Trillion dollars is the worst case scenerio for Pakistan considering the last year situation of Pakistan. It means we can atleast clock 4.5Trillion dollars by 2050 within even performing moderate

Dude, this isn't about what Pakistan will be in 2030 or 2050 - wonder who made you a researcher here? - understand the thread - it is about countries presently active and going places in the age of Asia. It's about strategic moves and how countries are coming together to form alliances and getting into partnerships. The author is lamenting the fact that Pakistan is languishing in mediocrity and is not taking advantage of this Asian age.

No, if you read the entire report you will notice that the calculation is for the best case scenario with Pakistan reforming its economy. This is not the worst case scenario. This report is the best case scenario for all countries.

Anything is possible in the future. But I strongly believe that Pak will have a population somewhere between 300 - 330 million in 2050. And note that India is currently 8 times bigger than Pak in terms of both PPP & nominal GDP. India is projected to grow at 6% in 2015 & also projected to overtake China in 2016 with 7.2% growth.
NOTE: Pak should be really happy if it reaches 3.2 trillion mark in 2050. It means a 13 fold increase from a 230 billion economy. In any case India will have at least twice the per capita income of Pak due to higher growth rate & lower population growth.

This @farhan_9909 is one of the dumbest members on this forum, he constantly makes ridiculous predictions about Pakistans growth rate and economy size on the flimsiest sources and then constantly hammers it down as if it is the absolute truth.

And don't even get me started on the amount of historical BS he spouts. He talks about the Indus Valley being "Ancient Pakistan" and talks about how Jammu, Gujarat, Punjab and Rajasthan and "Pakistani Land". He also said that India was weak for being conquered by Ashoka even though Ashoka was an Indian born in Pataliputra and he also conquered Pakistan. The fact that this guy is Research and Dev is an insult to this great forum. It's the equivalent of a baby reciting Macbeth.

At the end of the day,Atleast i am posting from my real account unlike you

Pakistan Population growth rate is down to 1.5% recently while as per other source's it is less than 1.7%,Which is a sudden drop from +3% a decade earlier,So is the TFR decrease in Pakistan from 1990-2010.

IMF last year Prediction 3.3% Growth rate for Pakistan but has now confirmed 4.1% for this year last month.Next year Govt target growth rate for Pakistan also is 5.1%.Pakistan india future growth is set to remain almost similar(i doubt something like 2006-12 willbe repeated for india-pakistan when india had atleast 2-3folds higher growth than Pakistan)

But India is projected to have at least 1 - 1.5% higher growth rate than Pak.It means that India which is already 8 times a bigger Economy will be at least 12 to 13 times bigger economy than Pak in 2050. It also means that India will have almost twice the per capita income of Pak. But everything boils down to the economic policies of respective countries. There are many conflicting reports on Economy 2050 & we really can't guess it. But i think India is going in the right direction with new sets of Economic reforms.

Nope- to understand what i mean you have to go to school and learn about the meaning and usage of Idioms-
but i recommend you to not make such an effort- you are better stupid-

you don't get it....he said it tongue in cheek.

Nawaz was quite enthusiastic in the beginning and extended his hand in friendship and all, but sad to say, it was short lived. We all know the reasons and as always hawks dictate our geopolitics. If civilian govt. were to run your politics without interference then we could have advanced in economic sphere.

Peace is paramount in our region and that is what most people want in our country. If we have to uplift millions of our countrymen out of poverty and misery then we have to be serious about extending peace and security in our subcontinent.
