Flying within your own border painting the other side's aircraft is no achievement, however you awarded you awarded him for just doing that, we never even make mention of such unless there's an actual kill.

You do need to catch up on your history on modern air warfare to understand which aircraft has never been shot in a dog fight until now.....JF-17 is a relatively new platform and no one claims it to be the best in region.

And how many PAF planes were shot down during Kargil and how many pilots taken Prisoner? If my memory serves me right it was the IAF that lost 3 jets and 1 chopper, 2 pilots plus crew dead, 1 POW. A fake unsubstantiated award to boost morale of its forces is exactly what it is, a fake award. No one in the world gives awards for "painting" an enemy aircrat except IAF. IAF never had balls to do any thing after the parliament or the Mumbai incidents except blow a lot of hot hair despite having the "best" jets in the region.

Well said, it will look good as XL was nearly 40% larger in the size too the original F-16s as it was built to compete with F-15E, but the pic you posted of JF-17 is what it may look is not correct. There is another route which PAF can take to solve some of their problems of not having a big fighter, that route is increasing the overall size of JF-17 while keeping the original design as possible, similar to what Japan have done to F-16s in their F-2s.

In some aspect MKI supersede F-16s therefore they are best planes in the region as per tech but other then that IAF don't have any plane which supersede F-16 in terms of tech and capabilities.

Technically, he is correct.

Mig-25 could fly higher and faster than F-16 and cannot be intercepted by F-16. But it's tactical usability is highly limited ( mostly relegated to reconnaissance.
