I've read the JIT report.

The heart of the report are pages 26-29. Where they share their findings. Nobody is talking about what is written therein.

Any one can see how Punjab Government is actually responsible. But at what level? The way the report has been written, it is apparent that the responsibility will probably stop with DIG. Unless the telephone records are made available, not much can be said about politicians being directly involved. At this point JIT says nothing.

JIT also mentions a lot of matters that can not be concluded at this time. The part about implicating PM, CM, Hamza Shahbaz, Kh. Saad Rafiq, and Rana Sanaullah is an assertion of MuQ people, not something borne out by JIT findings. For that to happen, there needs to be more investigation with MuQ people joining the process.

The JIT gives the version of MuQ right at the beginning, which omits many details such as incitement of the crowd by TuQ, and from inside MuQ itslef. It also ignores the presence of armed guards, and their conduct. That 27 policemen were injured due to violence from MuQ, with 3 receiving bullet wounds is glossed over as well. There is also a crazy allegation that before launching of operation at night DIG threatened to kill TuQ's family at orders of Sharif brothers, while the evidence and record shows that DIG did not arrive at the scene before 8:45 the next morning.

The JIT clearly states that a total of ten fatalities had been investigated via post-mortem. 3 of those were due to 'positive angle' bullet wounds, which generally means bullet were fired from roofs (though it could also mean the person being bent when receiving the wound). 7 people died with straight firing, most probably by police.

The JIT claims that 98 people were injured, out of whom 27 were police personnel, 3 of whom were hit by bullets. The JIT says that in the lead up to the armed clash and indiscriminate firing a rumor has spread among police jawans that two of their numbers had been killed by people guarding MuQ entrance and that a small number of policemen had been abducted.

All the evidence points to local mis-handling, and not a conspiracy as is alleged. However, there needs to be a complete investigation, and that may take a few months at least. But Punjab Government can not absolve itself of some blame at least. In a mature democracy CM might have resigned until conclusion of investigations.

MuQ people are no angels. They are using dead bodies for politics. They had a hand in all that went down. PTI supporters are using JIT to support their leadership's demands without having any concrete idea about what is written in JIT.

The link below is from where I got the report. I would suggest to disregard the English opinion masala piece and skip to the JIT report in Urdu and read it.

At a time when passions are running high, it is more important than ever to remain logical and look at all evidence and due process and not jump to any conclusions, as the OP shows. Fanboi camps on both sides should take note.

4 culprits close to shahbaz sharif already ran in foreign countries according to express news.
No hope in this system.

every sane person will know that there was a secret hand in this incident unless you have a personal vendetta about Sharifs. Police have to be really really really stupid to just start firing on innocent unarmed civilians...but we will only know the facts when there is no need for it, just like Afzal khan coming out as the most sincere and innocent election commission officer as if we have not seen his press conferences before but suddenly he is the angel flocking toward party of angels. Just like those who want to believe God there are signs for it but those signs are mere stupidity for non believers.

Looking at Pakistan from a distance I can for sure say Pakistanis are their own worst enemies, India is wasting all her resources on Pakistani borders is a waste, give them enough time they will destroy them self....havent they done it once?

I dont think any other country has so manny gup shup TV channels as Pakistan does. This the favorite pastime until they are provided with other ways to entertainment.

Policemen captured in the video footage firing at the crowd is no sufficient proof? Who was firing? TAQ people in the guise of Police or those from PTI, or may be ISI undercover agents? Why you write things like these?

Why not, arent they Pakistani just like you and the other guy
arent they allowed to share the destruction?
why are you so selfish, you think only civilians can do harm

Names, and source? You'd better be able to substantiate your statement.

Some police people involved did indeed not appear before JIT, probably because their evidence would be self-incriminating, or because they are guilty and want to avoid being arrested. Let us see you connect this with SS.

first of all how can pmln supporter claim that report didnt mention this or that .. shahbaz sharif have been hiding it for 15 days .. even though judge b ush ka , police b ush ki, IB b uh k ... still there murder is so obvious that judge couldn't even let go few thngs ...

The allegation that some hidden hand caused this incident is a bit 'out there'. I have heard of this, but this is just a speculation at this point.

I have had occasion to interface with Punjab Police on various matters over the years. One needs to understand their mind-set. These people forget all their education within the first months of them joining police force.

Reading the JIT and having an idea of mind-set, I can say that it is a safer assumption that matters got out of hand. Punjab Police is not as disciplined a force as some assume it to be.

It was plain stupid for the Express Tribune to get the report published on the internet with the names of JIT members and their respective affiliations. Extremely unprofessional, in-fact dangerous.

This is the sad reality of our media today. Indeed the personal details must not have been made public is such an irresponsible manner. JIT is quite balanced, and I do not see anyone except PAT grumbling about it, since JIT has indirectly debunked their conspiracy-based version of events.

Grow up and read something for a change instead of acting like a typical PTI troll. Did you bother to read this report? Can you read this report?

Nawaz in his speech in Parliament made this same allegation of 'who is behind all this?' ...

I would believe your argument that this was police's own doing if you can persuade me that in Pakistan and that too in Lahore a session court judge have the balls to order an FIR against Sharif's and entire PMLN had he not had the backing of some other power brokers, and then again Lahore high court....If this is really happening than why is Imran still out there sitting in the dharna his mission is accomplished and justice for all is now the reality in Pakistan
