Totally depend on one's parents what they prefer to name their child keeping the Islamic context in mind and theory. Let alone the Sub-continent, If you happen to take a brief look on Malaysian / Indonesian / Albanian / Salvic / Chinese n many more Muslim names, they will be having their first or last names totally unheard or will be having an influence of their native land or ancestors. Many converts in present day would prefer sticking it to their original names and would prefer their Islamic names "mentioned'' in documents just for the sake of references.

It's not "compulsory" to have a Hard-Core Islamic name to be a Muslim as long as it doesn't contradict Islamic History or meanings somewhere. Its a matter of Choice and nothing else.

Well........Wanted to reply but again no point dragging this. My query was out of curiosity but again, we shud stick to Capt. Akaash and his martydom. Even I cleared SSB 12 yrs back but my family got emotional. U see, it was those days post Kargil and maximum casualties were of around 25 yrs old young kids.

Thats why, I feel for his family to allow him into Armed forces against all odds. Strength to them.

@Umair Nawaz my brother also went from Islamabad to attend his funeral. my brother is ex hallian so has some good old memories of the place @Free Soul is currently not posting but might do so soon in future as he is in the process of relocation

my brother felt really down. the whole incident is heart rending how Akash sacrificed his life. rest assured we are hunting them and killing them in and outside their rat holes.

only need prayers and support from the public and some backbone in the politicians who are only concerned about their own necks and their wealth by avoiding to openly confronting TTP
